Valerian is something I wish I had known about 30 years ago. I sleep better and longer at a time, and it seems to help my overall attitude...

The lotion is good for tired muscles, and the spray is good for pillows and sheets...just the aroma (usually flavored with something) is enough to help you relax.

And I was reminded of a blessing I got from the Dutch couple who cared enough about America to tour it. I kept in contact with them for several years, but she was almost crippled with Rheumatoid arthritis and became unable to work. At that time, he no longer cooked on a sloop, but was given permission by the government to stay at home and take care of his wife.

It seems (at that time) that the Netherlands provided homes for the disabled. But don’t quote me.

I missed it, too! “Quadruple bypass”? I’ve had to use my Nook for most of the last 10 days, so there is a LOT I’ve missed!

Not to mention the dichotomy in my vision...20/650 in the left eye and 20/20 in the right eye...I now need reading glasses to see small print, and that’s all I have on the Nook...small print...VERY small!

I can get email on my phone, but the only website the Nook would recognize is FR, and that was “iffy,” at best. So I feel totally left out of the loop!

I calculated it once as being about four to ten times the volume of all of Shakespeare's writings. By now it's probably up to twenty times.

Sadly, many of the posts are missing their graphic content, and some posters were nuked entirely.

But the posts of FReepers past remain there, and remain curiously poignant and vibrantly alive within the framework of the then discussions.
