Somehow, pain in the *** teenagers who are currently your age, are now having pain in the *** teenagers who are exponentially more painful than we ever thought of being in our own pain in the *** days.

In my family, we were too respectful to be TOO “typical teenagerish.”

PS: I’m home. The boids are fine. There is a BBQ today at the ramada by the office, but I doubt if I will go.

I learned I may become a GGMa again in June, but if it’s anything like the last one, I will consider it a “non-issue.” Not going to get excited about a baby I will never get to see.

Hello, back from church. I walked in, put on an apron, and started washing dishes, although I’d had everything washed before I left. Did I mention pain in the *** teenagers? The one who had oatmeal - Elen, I think - will be assigned the supper dishes.

I assume your family members have safely arrived in NYC? Not that long a flight out of Charlotte.

I am glad to be home. And even gladder (?) to NOT have to drive the dually! I’ve driven trucks before, but I’m not comfortable in diesels.

Is it time for you to go on strike? It would seem to me that the older your children get, the lazier they become.

It was almost a joy to drive last night (barring the fact that I’m not comfy in said dually) because I could actually SEE the street signs and highway markers! I didn’t realize what the cataracts actually did to my vision until I saw a chart in the doctor’s office, and understood immediately why I had such a problem with seeing at night.

Instead of being focused to a point on the back of the retina, the light is dispersed into a wide area, and things are not only blurry but dark as well. Having one eye with 20/20 vision more than made up for the cataract in the other eye!

It was actually exciting to be able to see where I was going! LOL!

Okay, my hons, this is the new greatest band I’ve ever heard, “Hayseed Dixie,” thanks to “real saxophonist” on another thread. For extra style points, the mandolin player strongly resembles one Jim Robinson, in the pink of health.
