An ax is a fearsome and effective contact weapon. It is not surprising that the authorities have not arrested the homeowner. They likely believe that this shooting will be found to be justified. From The Courier, this brief excerpt:
Major crimes detectives and crime scene investigators learned that a disturbance involving the victim occurred at a nearby residence. He then drove his vehicle through the yard of another home making threats to the family. The man parked his vehicle in the street and retrieved an ax to confront the homeowner.I would not call the ax weilder the victim. He was the perpetrator. The real victim is the homeowner, who will have to live with this justified shooting and the notoriety that comes with it. His solace will be that he did what he had to do to protect his family, including his small children who were with him at the time.
The homeowner armed himself with a gun and shot the victim, who was advancing into the yard.
Read the headline to fast and thought it said “Taxman”, in my head I was saying right on!
Never bring an ax to a gunfight.
Mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.
I just hope that the homeowner was not a white Hispanic and the ax man did not look like Obama’s son.
I would not call the ax weilder the victim. He was the perpetrator. The real victim is the homeowner...
Amen, marktwain. Transposing victims and criminals is an old, old communist trick.
This is why you need the 2 best friend with you at all times. Those 2 friends are SMITH & WESSON. Now why would anyone have any conscience pangs by offing this piece of garbage? Just think of it this way, he did the world a big favor by taking him out. If every honest citizen in this country make it a point to take out one of these animals every day, this country would be a better place to live in.

“Never bring an ax to a gunfight.”
That’s axiomatic.
Okay son, I’ll let you off with a warning but don’t be too axestatic.
