I pray for a fair and just verdict. My support and thoughts go out to the Zimmerman family and the defense team as we wait.

Absolutely pouring here in Temple Terrace..should suppress any spontaneous outbursts..
The purpose of the perjury charges against Mrs. Zimmerman was to intimidate George into plea-bargaining on the main charges. It really serves no other purpose, and the state cannot afford the publicity that would attach to a real prosecution. Perjury requires intent to deceive, and it would be obvious to anyone reading the full exchange that there was no such intent on the part of Mrs. Zimmerman. She indicated that she didn't know how much money was raised, that the figure she offered was a guess, and that she would be more than happy to help the judge find out the correct figure. Perhaps the judge interpreted her statement as implying more certainty than it did, but if so the judge should have demanded clarification (e.g. "The exact amount doesn't matter if it's under $XX,XXX it, but I need to know if it's more than that. Is it possible it might be?") If the judge really wanted to know how much money was raised, he should have asked more specific questions and--if the answers couldn't be produced immediately--adjourned until they could be.
BTW, I wish the defense could have jurors informed of prosecutorial conduct during a case, and instructed that while it shouldn't necessarily expect prosecutors to always behave absolutely perfectly, they should acquit on all charges if the defendant is less of a criminal than the agents of the state involved in the prosecution. Seldom would defendants benefit from presenting such issues to a jury, but many innocent defendants would benefit if state agents had to avoid conduct which would alienate jurors.
“Having had to deal with Chicago thuggery (politics) for over 12 years, I continue to be surprised at how little the rest of America understands that concept.”
I agree that most of America probably isn’t aware of it. They are too busy just trying to put food on the table and keep roofs over their families heads (thanks, Barry) these days to notice. But I would stake my life on the fact that most Freepers know it only.. too.. well.
For myself, I had kind of tuned Corey out for some reason. I noted she was ugly (what leftie hag isn’t?) and left it at that. I’ve been researching her since the revelation that she is indeed the state’s ringleader of that ongoing 3-ring circus. And her sitting next to Sybrina isn’t surprising (to me) at all. The only thing I am surprised about is that she didn’t have Sybrina sitting in her lap or vice versa.
But I digress...
Same here. laboured over grammar and everything. Hit post and bam, post somehow gone.
My post - it was pretty awesome before it disappeared!
*snicker*
lol...well what do you expect of FR women awaiting a Jury decision...
don't waste precious time second guessing the Jury...be profitable with our time!
Your posts are always awesome. Not as awesome as mine, but awesome somwehat.
Okay. It’s real simple. Whenever you go out to eat, and they give you too many french fries (they always do), take the extras home and freeze them. When you’re too lazy to cook, throw a couple handfuls of fries in a pot. Add whatever extras you have like onions and chunks of ham. Put some kind of liquid in the pot, like chicken broth, and boil it until it’s done. Add seasonings to taste. Right at the end, if you have heavy cream, by all means put that in.
It never comes out the same way twice, but it’s always good.
Ha! If it's true it's not gossip!
I hid a guy one time. It’s a long story, but the sheriff was determined to get something on this man and he got someone to file a charge and the sheriff wanted him right then because it was late on Friday and he knew the guy couldn’t get an attorney until Monday, making him spend the weekend in jail.
The man called me, said sheriff deputies were looking for him. I called the man's attorney and he said get him out of there and have him go to his sister's house outside that county. Got the man, put him on the floor board, drove past the deputies on a street and drove him out. The attorney went with him on Monday to deal with the situation. Sometimes, you have to do the right thing and I feared for this man's life if the sheriff had him for a weekend. The man was found innocent of that charge, which I knew he was.
Hi hummingbird...re your tagline...someone earlier this week (maybe you?) referred me to Levin’s Liberty Amendments...have you read them and, if so, can you give me a synopsis of the “plan?” TIA
Excellent!
Now there you go. How did we get sidetracked to a meatloaf recipe???
That's why it taking these 6 ladies so long to reach a verdict. Someone mentions something and they are off on a bunny trail and then it takes the jury forelady to be the bad guy and bring them back to reaching a verdict.
I forgot to run out and buy a bottle of champagne for the acquittal. And a bottle of everclear if not an acquittal.
Wow...the jury has been involved in a 2-3 week trial. They have had the case for deliberation less than 8 hours without a decision and now all hope is lost. Give it time. I’m still holding out that 6 jurors want to go home and will eventually convince any holdout juror to side with the majority. I just can’t believe 6 jurors will unanimously send an innocent man to prison “to get it over with.”
Opinions are very strong on both sides.I predicted a hung jury days and days ago. That would probably be the best outcome in the eyes of the State as it would diffuse the situation and delay any rioting...if there was ever going to be rioting anyway. I don’t think it was ever going to be widespread. If a hung jury is the case, I don’t believe the state will retry it.
As far as civil charges and potential lost ill-gotten revenue for the family, I think they will be told quietly that the case can’t be won on the evidence, so be happy with the million you got already.

“Yeah, if it is Not Guity, they would be done by now.....I think they are looking for a reason to sentence him. Was hoping these women would make me proud.”
They may just be arguing back and forth and trying to persuade a holdout that wants to convict. And it could happen. They could change that holdout’s mind. We just don’t know for sure.
All I know is....the anticipation is a killah. This is worse than waiting for Xmas morning to open presents. Especially since you can’t even sneak in and open them all early...lol.
LOLOLOLOLOL....no comment
The entire sentence is one of the great canards of this case. He received no ORDERS from POLICE and he was not told to STOP FOLLOWING MARTIN. These lies have been repeatedly debunked over and over again.
Yet Laura didn't point this out to her propagandizing guest AND to her audience of hundreds of thousands. She should have hit him right between the eyes with the truth, but she didn't. She let him ramble on and on with even more lies.
If she didn't know this basic truth outlined above Laura should bring herself up to speed if she's going to have pro-Trayvon deceivers on her show. This was one of those basic thing she should have KNOWN.
She's getting so in love with her own annoyingly-chattering, rapid-fire voice and her thousand-word questions that that she's having difficulties focusing on enemy propaganda........and I'm having trouble watching her lately.
