Just found out this afternoon that my wife's 23 year old son (my stepson) died in a fire last night over in Mississippi. She is distraught, of course. I ask that you pray for us. Thank you.

The sudden unexpected death of a young loved one is the hardest thing of all to deal with.
I've been there.
The pain will diminish over time, but it doesn't ever go away.
Be comforted in that he is with the Creator and the Angels, and is happy to be there.

My prayers especially for your wife. May the Lord give he the strength she will need in the current pain she is enduring.
Having lost my eldest son at age 22 I can empathize with her. and having lost my step-daughter in April, I can also put myself in your place. Our children are supposed to outlive us, but it doesn’t always turn out that way.
Peace for both of you in the long run. It’s not easy.
