Will American Soldiers Fire on U.S. Citizens?

I was doing a radio interview this morning and the host asked me why the Department of Homeland Security needed 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. The easy answer for me was, “They don’t.” Of course the follow-up question for him was, “Then why are they buying it?”

And that’s the billion-dollar question isn’t it. What is the federal government going to do with all that ammo? Why do they need it? Why are they buying it? It’s unprecedented. Are we on the cusp of physical domination by the United States Federal Government? And, if so, how will the American people react?

The talk show host also asked me, “If the people were to rebel, how could they ever possibly hope to prevail against a government so big, so huge, so powerful and so ruthless?”

He had a good point.

I mean, let’s face it: they have Predator drones, spy satellites, and sophisticated online surveillance and communication systems. How could the American people ever hope to prevail in a fighting war?

Sure, we barely prevailed over the British in our original war for independence, but that was different. Great Britain was based thousands of miles away, and it took 30 days to cross the Atlantic. That was a huge benefit to the colonists. We no longer have that. The federal government is right here, right now, and firmly cemented into state and local law enforcement. The talk show host argued there was no hope of prevailing over a government so massive and powerful.

Was he right?

I brought up the Taliban and the Viet Cong as recent examples of how to defeat a large military in a techno-driven war. In the end, the Taliban will win, just as the Viet Cong did. In truth, only three percent of the colonists actively fought against the British in our war for independence. But three percent was enough.

But the big question is this: Are there still three percent of the American population with the courage and resolve to fight against an out-of-control, tyrannical government? My short answer is: I think so.

Of course, we all have our lines in the sand.

1. I will fight when they force gun registration. 2. I will fight when they come for my guns. 3. I will fight when they come for me.

No matter where you fall on that list, it puts you in the precarious position of defying the all-powerful Obama of Oz. Who is the man behind the curtain, pulling the strings, calling the shots, planning out the final moves to dismantle our liberty?

Is it Barack Obama or some other unseen dark and evil minion?

I don’t know.

When the government stops sending out checks and food stamps, the game changes. Conservative blacks and Hispanics, and they do exist, live in those cities too. My guess would be that some group within DHS has already figured out several scenarios and it doesn’t look pretty, from their standpoint.

Comment: Now a question I have not seen posed: Will U.S. Citizens fire on the military?

If the need arises (any widespread violation of their oath to defend the Constitution and violations of the Posse Comitatus Act such as firearm confiscations), HELL FRICKING YES!

The fascists will be a lot more ruthless dealing with the American citizenry than they are dealing with foreign enemies like the Taliban. i.e. the ROE will be brutal when you and I are the “enemy”.

This is only a disadvantage for the unimaginative. The Federal government is right here, right now, which means they have nowhere to run from the citizenry, if it comes to that. We all know where they live, but they will not necessarily know where the citizens that would come for them live.

Exactly!

The 47% won't work for a living, the certainly won't fight for one. So its DHS and the three letter minions against the 3%. If its only 1% effective, that's a 2.5 Million man army.

Yes, I expect they will. But they will not fire first. Only after the jack boots kill Americans will they fight back.

People will have to die before the resistance begins.

I hope they would not but was discouraged when I asked my son (a disabled combat infantryman from the Iraq war)if he thought the American troops would fire on civilians and he instantly answered “Oh, of course!” His contention is that the higher-up brass will convince them to fight by claiming that other army units are in peril and that they have to be “rescued”. The soldiers’ loyalty to each other will trump their reluctance to fire on civilians.

I think you are correct, but what about when the soldiers start finding out that somebody’s “Uncle Bob” or “Cousin Jim” was killed by XXX unit. Or maybe even some of theri own family? It doesn’t take long before the questions start being asked and doubt sets in.

Let’s put it this way - if they won’t, then president hussein will find someone who will.

I’d bet more than three precent won’t surrender the Republic of America to the globalist hithead;s. Everyone come to Texas and we will play cowboys and treasonous nazis.

Most civil wars divide loyalties with the military. Many Russian army units shot their officers to join the Bolsheviks. Same for the Spanish Civil war on both sides. It is very unpredictable but the changes being made to the military probably recognize this possibility and are trying to minimize the consequences.

this is why O’bumbles and his regime have assembled their ‘private civilian army - JUST as he promised before election...
His army = DHS - which is why they need those bullets. their miscalulation is: they may have the bullets - but they don't have the training our military does - One on our side will be equal to 100 of their TSA types. If the shooting starts, those human flotsam and jetsam will crumble in whimpering heaps of their own dung.

Listen to Wild Bill - the ONLY reason those new witnesses that were on the ground in Benghazi are found and coming forward is because the SEALS hunted them down - and are riding the backs of the boys in Washington -

this regime has got our Oath Keepers rip roaring mad. Not smart. But knowing NOTHING about the military, about using a gun, etc, they think all you need to fight are numbers and guns. If they ring that bell, they may just be in for a crash course in reality.

The biggest worry is the militarized police that are gun happy and will kill anyone with very little provocation. The military might not go along with King Obama and kill American citizens.

American soldiers will not be used more than minimally. The infantry is being replaced by women and homosexuals who will fire on the citizenry but won't be terribly reliable generally, and by techies with their video games which we experience as drones, armed and recon/spy. Defense against those things will be the greatest challenge, especially the micro drones capable of delivering a little sting of death coming right through the hole in your screened window.

The question is which citizens will they fire upon? Tea Party citizens, Constitutional loving citizens, patriots who are flag waving? Singing the national anthem or God Bless America? Not my Marine.

Lefties in power or out never trust the military. Even after the ongoing purge and downsizing they will be reluctant to use the formal military. But they have a tremendous number of armed personnel in in apparently all the agencies now and the SWATs are already deployed and DHS with TSA and FEMA is huge. Your local cops are mostly not locals and are already strangers in the community. They a;ready see the citizenry as their enemy. Some of the sheriffs will be on the Constitution’s side and maybe some small town police departments but I don’t count on many of our men in arms being ours. And they have told us they have FEMA camps scattered about the country. I don’t think they would hold many people in them for very long, though.
