Bloomberg lives part time in Bermuda

NYtimes link

Mr. Bloomberg, who owns a waterfront estate here, has walled off his life in Bermuda from voters in New York, arguing it is none of their business.

… The mayor also takes along a police detail when he travels, flying two officers on his private plane and paying as much as $400 a night to put them up at a hotel near his house; the city pays their wages while they are there, as it does whether Mr. Bloomberg is New York or not. Guns are largely forbidden in Bermuda — even most police officers do not use them — but the mayor’s guards have special permission to carry weapons.

He’s not really saying to change the interpretation - he’s saying to change the constitution by “interpretation” rather than amendment. This is how liberals work.

You’ve nailed it. Terrorism is exactly that, a game, the object of which is to change behavior. It is social engineering, and its endpoint behavior is a society conditioned for subjugation. The left and the islamicists are two halves of the same coin, collectivist tyranny, and the likes of Bloomberg are effectively pushing us the same direction as the Islamic supremacists, a slave population where individual liberty is nullified in its entirety in the name of some alleged common good, where individual lives are as disposable as yesterday’s trash. Except of course for the really important people, whose lives must be protected at all costs. After all, without them, who will run the hive?

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

-Ben Franklin

And changing the interpretation, would guarantee our safety right, Mr. Bloomberg.

That he will; right to the graveyard. They will be so many armed guards around the vehicle that an atom could not get through.

Who would have thought the day would come when Americans would cheer when a politician says, “We will take things away from you for the common good.”

The cheerers are infinitely worse than the German populace who knew what was happening during WWII and did nothing or defended the Nazis.

I do believe government is turning a blind eye to terrorists in this country and also aiding them in order to continue playing this game.

They attack, politicians respond with comprehensive reform, attack, reform...

That is the cycle and the game.

We are being played for fools.

In other words, “The Constitution does not mean what the Founders said it means.”

In fairness to Der Gulpenfuhrer, 3 out of 5 SCOTUS members appear to believe the same thing.

I’m thinking...why do the people of NY put up with this sort of nonsense?

Have they been so brainwarshed?

Urbanites are used to being “cared for”. Its easy to become institutionalized like a long time prison inmate.

Intellectually and moral giants conceived the US Constitution.
A pissant doesn't get to change it.

If the fine citizens of Boston had weapons to protect themselves they wouldn’t have needed to cowher in their homes per the instructions of the BPD.
