MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Americans will always want some level of inequality because it's a representation of a meritocracy. People who work hard and sacrifice and save their money and make major contributions: we think that they should earn a little more. And they should have more resources. And that's fine. But we also however have to have a floor under which nobody falls....

And where can I find this “right”? I’ve never seen it written down anywhere.

Who is the collective “we” in her statement. Does it include the White Hut? Does it include the Progressives in Congress? Does it include the wize Latina and her boy toy John Roberts? Or is is some pig on a zipline?

People who work hard and sacrifice and save their money and make major contributions: we think that they should earn a little more. Oh yeah, just a LITTLE more? It is simply not worth it. Work harder and these Marxists will steal it from you. Why bother?

...maybe we need to make them eat their words and, one after another, show up “at their* doorstep” demanding housing, food and healthcare.
* the ‘they’ of their being congressmen and and media-jerks like this nut.

I’d think a black woman would know that slavery is unacceptable.

The Bible says if you don’t work, you don’t eat. That’s why they have to get rid of Bible believing Christians.

The more you “raise the floor”, there’s less room for people to live in the house, and more room for people to live under it (i.e. low minimum wage/greater legal economy vs. high minimum wage/larger black-market economy)

Orly?
Am I going to have to register my health care, education, housing and food or face 10 years in prison?
Seems like the word rights doesn’t really mean much in this country. You can have this, but you can’t have that, and you can have so many of these, but if you have too many of those then you are going to jail.
I have had enough of these people.
Enough.

If someone else has to provide it for you, it’s not a right.
