When President Barack Obama heads to Connecticut on Monday, it will have been 115 days since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary – but just four days since the state legislature enacted what looks to be the strongest gun control law in the nation.

Somebody needs to send Mrs. Hawkings’ little Davy a copy of the Bill of Rights. The boy doesn’t seem very bright. They probably didn’t teach Civics and U.S. Government where the boy went to school.

Amendment II

I really wish someone would compare this incident with the incidence of sexual abuse on kids. Your boy has a 1 in 5 chance of being sexually assaulted and your girl a 1 in 3 chance before age 18. This type of abuse can destroy your kid from the inside. The Sandy Hook thing was bad, but the chances of that happening again are 1 in millions. Plus the whole gun control thing isnt going to make that number change

I remember my parents saying when I was little, someone at one of the schools I went to recommended to them that they put me on Ritalin. They said (somewhat more politely, I’d imagine) no f’ing way.

Somehow I managed to grow up more or less normal.

Won’t work, the forces pushing gun control aren’t motivated by violent crimes, they simply want a disarmed populace.
