I know of no other way to put this. The Obama administration is taking their attacks to a new low and their attempts to control the media to a new level. Bob Woodward is no stranger to anyone who follows politics and is familiar with the media. He is the man who broke the Watergate story and his has been around the block at least once or twice. Not only that, but he is well-respected, usually by his fans and his critics. His reputation is above reproach, but that may be about to change.
If we were looking for one word or phrase to describe Bob Woodward, it would be candid or truthful. That truthfulness is putting him into some very hot water with the Obama administration. If you will recall, Woodward is the reporter who was told by John Boehner that Obama plainly said we didn't have a spending problem. Bob Woodward is also the reporter who let the sequester cat out of the bag. It is his account that has let the public know where the sequester came from, that it was Obama's idea in the first place. It is that story that is getting him into trouble with the White House.
According to Bob Woodward, one exchange he had with a senior White House official was more than a little heated, followed by an email that makes me wonder just how far the Obama administration is willing to go. Hat tip to Bunkerville.

Twitter is hopping with references to Woodward, with some claiming he is washed up and finished, in so many words.Digging into one of his famous folders, Woodward said the tirade was followed by a page-long email from the aide, one of the four or five administration officials most closely involved in the fiscal negotiations with the Hill. “I apologize for raising my voice in our conversation today,” the official typed. “You’re focusing on a few specific trees that give a very wrong impression of the forest. But perhaps we will just not see eye to eye here. … I think you will regret staking out that claim.”

For years, Bob Woodward has been a fixture in the medial. Conservatives haven't always been fond of him and the stories he reported, but he has always been respected. The left has usually defended him and called him an icon of the media. But one or two stories that goes against the narrative the Obama administration wants to push and all of a sudden, he is senile. Truly, it is disgusting to see how the liberals are attacking someone who they thought was in the bag.
What male apologizes for raising their voice?? The message was..."You'll pay".
Woodward doesn’t look the same as he used to. I have sometimes wondered if he uses some type of steroids.

It always amazes me that anyone shows surprise when leftists reveal themselves, usually when stressed or pressed into an indefensible corner, as plainly abhorrent.
They were expecting....what?

I believe it has been acknowledged that Gene Sperling was the one who threatened.
Fits perfectly with the liberal agenda. Woodward is past his “productive” years and would therefore be best left to die so as to conserve resources for a younger and more reliably liberal journalist.
This is a minor leak in the dam, but a leak to be sure.
There are many left leaning journalists who are fair minded and have reported the truth about Obama. Thus far, they’ve been voices crying in the wilderness.
Liberal journalists are most devoted to whomever can effectively implement the liberal agenda. If they determine that Obama is damaged goods, they will jump ship in no time.
Obama knows this and that’s why he is campaigning so hard to destroy the GOP short term - at least long enough to get the House back in 2014. With control of all three houses, even though he is a lame duck from 2014-2016, all kinds of havoc can be wreaked.
He has to keep the media at bay until the midterms are over. After that, it no longer matters.
That’s why they have to do a delicate dance with Woodward.
He'll probably become a high paid Fox News contributor.

Just think, after full implementation of Obamacare they’ll have access to Woodward’s medical records which they can then leak to support their case.
Media Matters started this. It’s despicable.
And in Other news the White Hut Propaganda Minister at NBC, Mattie Lauer led his broadcast with the “Massive Budget Cuts” that are being forced by Sequester.
In Islam, you are faithful (radical) or apostate.
I wouldn't bet on it.
