Media sources expressed confusion as to the status of Christopher Dorner, the former Los Angeles Police Department officer now accused of killing four people including two cops. Dorner was allegedly chased to a Big Bear Lake cabin after being spotted by authorities in the area, a chase that resulted in the death of one officer.
Now, as the cabin where "hundreds" of bullets were exchanged burns down, it is unclear whether Dorner is dead, alive, captured, or hiding out...

Maybe the LAPD should just napalm the entire area. That’ll get him, for sure.
What, no B-52 Rolling Thunder??
What I’d like to know is, what’s the environmental impact of all this? The EPA should be holding the LAPD accountable for these increased carbon emissions and potentially for future soil erosion!
flipped to the referenced article and the bottom of the story is that this fire is a result of the cops using teargas. In case anybody recalls the use of flammable tear gas rounds at Waco, here’s the piece ~ http://partners.nytimes.com/library/national/091499waco-documents.html
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is in charge of this operation. The “police officer” killed was a SBCSD Deputy as well as the wounded Deputy. LAPD is there in support.
LAPD is there to make sure Dorner is dead. And they don’t care how many citizens they have to gun down to make that happen.
Waco was the first thing I thought of. In fact, just saw a 2 hour documentary on the Waco massacre with the FBI insisting the tear gas caused no fires. Also, Wikipedia says 2 of the fires started well within the interior of the structure.
Story of the Century! Feed us more media! Throw us the slop!
Tear gas? My azz.
Hope everyone is taking notes.
Not saying the dude did not having it coming.
Wasn’t it proven that incendiary tear gas was used at Waco? And boy were the winds high that day.. A perfect day to assault the compound if you want to burn it down.
Chris Dorner was a Veteran who murdered innocent people.
Chris Kyle, a real American Hero and Veteran wasn’t given nearly the same news coverage. RIP Kyle.
I’m not sure, but what I do know there were several FBI people on the ground very mad at how the whole situation was being handled and basically blamed the FBI for the deaths of the Davidians.
David Koresh was a nut, but that in and of itself is not a crime.
Add “Ruby Ridge” to that. ATF screwed it all up.
BATF = ROGUE
That’s because Chris Kyle killed enemies of America (and friends of Obama).
Not very news worthy.
We can call him Chris Crispie now.
I wonder why colin powell didn’t offer to try Bo Gritz and try to talk dorner out of the cabin. It was obvious from the manifesto that dorner he’ll powell in the highest esteem...
Hang tough, Chris. Liberal America has your back.
Darwin award for question of the day..goes to:
Anderson Cooper.
Cooper to Kyle Martin, son of woman who own(ed) cabin that Dorner hid in:
“So Kyle, how does your family feel about watching your home burn on national TV?”
I think they lost power to Kyle before he could answer. I would have liked to hear him say: “Well Anderson, we are glad that Cooper chose our home to sabotage, hide out, die and ultimately get torched in. The bathrooms were too small and we were thinking of remodeling anyway.”
