While the departure of Sarah Palin from Fox News as a paid contributor has caused endless speculation (as well as endless jubilation among her enemies) there are just a few known facts, according to the story in RealClearPolitics.
After some negotiations for a renewal of her contract, Palin was made an offer which was refused. The parting of the ways is said to be amicable.
That doesn't mean that some informed speculation is not warranted.

“Sarah had a chance to run, and she chose not to”
Had Sarah run last time around she wouldn’t have won because she was too polarizing — too large an emotional component within both her supporters and detractors.
The mainstream politicians and media waged an unpredicented tidal wave of ugly opposition to her during the McCan Palin campaign. Remnants are still there. Time needs to pass before she reappears on the national scene.

That would be wonderful to have a truthful reporting Network supporting real American Values.

A Subway franchise? I agree with that 100% -- starting with the three major lines in New York, originally known as the IRT, BMT and IND. If the city-owned transit system were turned over to private owners, they'd be clean, on-time and profitable. Indeed, given her track record as governor of Alaska, Mrs. Palin would be a fine choice to head such a subway franchise.

They are waiting with baited breath to see what she has to say.
The fact that she hasn't said anything is Killing them.
You will never find people more obsessed with Sarah Palin than her grief trolls ;)
They know how important and influential she is and the HATE that.
I think it has to do with jealously.

She is one of the ones the left (and many here) fear the most. She would help but an end to the institutional corruption that have crippled us.

As we review the last two years, an endorsement by Sarah Palin for a candidate in a race for Senate or Governor is probably worth $1,000,000 in early, private individual contributions. And the candidates she endorsed won.
In a sense, Sarah Palin already has formed a new party.
She can get legislation introduced in the Senate and House and get legislation vetoed.
And she is alive and well in the minds of the Palin haters.
And waiting for the moment to seize the initiative.

I don’t think the Obama schedule—new to the senate and running for president 60 days later—is the governor’s style.
I’m hoping for #Two, and hope she’s not going for #Three or any regular gig with the MSM. (The best I’d like to see on that count would be a daily 60-second radio message. Wouldn’t that drive ‘em crazy!)

After being crushed, well more like devastated the last time, I still never lost my “something about her”.
I knew for sure she was NOT over. We have no idea what she and He spoke about, or when He spoke to her. We do know the outcome though.
I just know she is the real deal. If she forms a new party, I'm all in.

Thank You, but I am only speaking the truth. We need to stop thinking in the Traditional Party System.
The Republicans and Faux News have become our enemies.
They can either stand by our side or be crushed under our heel, but they will NOT stand in our way.
Sarah is leading that charge, regardless what the Republican Cheerleaders say here on FR.
Sarah is playing chess while they play checkers.
