Murders in "the hood" are the elephants in the room no one wants to face honestly

Every nightly newscast in South Florida, and probably a lot of other television markets around the country, includes what could fittingly be called the “Minority Crimes Report (MCR).” The MCR tells us how many people were shot, killed or maimed in the area’s minority neighborhoods the night before.

The cumulative effect of these shootings produces the equivalent of a Sandy Hook massacre every few days, but that doesn’t fit the media’s narrative so that fact is never mentioned. Any objective review of the number of gunshot murders in America tells us they aren’t happening in Hasidic neighborhoods; or Scandinavian enclaves. The “hoods” where Blacks and Hispanics live are the killing zones of America.

When the MCRs aren’t describing the carnage and blood running in the streets of these neighborhoods they tell us...

In 2011, 70 or 75% of all the murder VICTIMS in Chicago had previous arrest records. THAT is why people don’t care. Bad guys killing bad guys doesn’t make most people upset. IIRC, almost all the murders in Chicago also took place in about 10-15% of the city’s area. Most people avoid the bad areas, and are thus unaffected.

Watched an interview with Anne Coulter last night.

She clarified the whole issue. Makes a lot more sense.

> You have random violence — inner cities, gang bangers, Chicago.

> Mass killings by people who are mentally ill — Columbine, etc.

Mass killings are an extremely small percentage of overall gun violence but get the most media attention.

You can make a reasonable argument that a gun ban will not help the inner city problem because criminals do not respect the rule of law.

unfortunately, the bad guys don’t just kill other bad guys. We recently attended services for a local business owner who was shot dead by three punks as he closed up shop for the day. They thought he would be walking out with the day’s receipts. He didn’t. They demanded the money regardless. When he couldn’t comply, they killed him. I think one of them is still at large. His story is not an anomaly. Another man was recently stabbed to death in front of a local hospital (with a screwdriver I believe) in a botched mugging. The mugger got a few dollars. Recently my city mourned another business owner who ran a convenience store a few blocks from where I now sit. He was murdered for the cash in the register. I am an ER nurse. I meet all kinds of good guy victims. Met one a while back that was beaten severely. He was beaten severely. As I recall, the perp actually stepped on his chest as he walked out the door with the cash register. The victim had multiple facial bone fractures. These are all black on white crime stories btw and I could tell you many many more.

If they covered the American killing fields of minority areas the media would then have to cover causation. Poverty as an excuse has lost its appeal to most Americans. The media would then have to face the issues of low intelligence coupled with poor impulse control which are neurological issues not environmental.

Hannity had a factoid a night or two ago - 97% of NYC shooting suspects were balck of hispanic. 97 PERCENT. That’s stunning a clear sign that there is a HUGE problem in those minority communities.

You’re right of course.

But most people DO avoid those areas and then forget about them. News about violence there is like when I hear about riots in Egypt. I just remind myself to NEVER go there and forget about it.

In the inner cities, you have a lot of feral humans running around. Physical humans, but morally empty or bad. I favor ISSUING handguns to everyone in those parts of the city and letting them deal with the problem, but that isn’t likely to happen in Chicago or Detroit...

...annnnd, now you know why they aren't mentioned -- the Democrats including their media shills have bamboozled and manipulated their historical victims into supporting them, with the intent that, once they have everything they want, they'll no longer be a factor, being dead, in prison, or shuttered away in fear of losing their disability 'pensions'.

Zero has flipped the script, just a bit, but the Demwits can't get off the train now. Some of their politicians who didn't like where this was headed retired over the past four to six years.

“Murders in the ‘Hood” are mostly scum killing scum with no net loss to society. They don’t need cry out to be addressed unless an innocent actually was killed.

When the murderers come out of the hood, that is a different matter and needs to be addressed quickly and with lethal force.

“They don’t need cry out to be addressed unless an innocent actually was killed.”

But innocents are killed, routinely, by the surrounding violence.

IMO the media and government is racist. When white children in Sandy Hook get killed by a white teen, they get hysterical. When black/hispanic children get killed in Chicago, collateral damage of the hood, they are ignored.
