DACULA, GA -- Just hours after a large shipment of weapons arrived at a local gun store, burglars struck the shop and stole numerous handguns, tactical rifles and shotguns.
According to business owner David Duncan, Big Gun Armory received two large deliveries on Friday afternoon. Duncan said the 65 guns were immediately placed on display since store inventory had been heavily depleted due to increased sales related to the election, the Connecticut shootings and holiday shopping.
Then, at 1:47 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, Duncan got a call from his alarm company -- the burglar alarm had been activated. Gwinnett County Police were also notified and arrived four minutes after getting the call, but it was too late.
They cleaned my place out, Duncan said.
According to Duncan, the burglar or burglars entered the store by smashing the front door glass, reaching through the bars and unlocking the door. Duncan explained that he initially had a keyed lock on the interior and exterior of the door, but was instructed by the fire marshal to switch the interior keyed lock to a twist lock for safety purposes. As a result, the burglar or burglars were able to access the interior of the store without damaging anything other than the glass...

Did they fall from a boat into the river?
Inside job.
It time to stock up.
But at least the thieves were safe from being trapped in the store.
Time for a roll down armored door like you see on all the shops in 3rd world hell holes.
Check the ATF, they are probably needing to replenish their inventory for Fast and Furious.
65 guns in 4 minutes means the job was well planned. All they were waiting for was a delivery so inventory would be at maximum.
Man, You can feed a lot of hogs with that many guns
You’re probably right. Whoever did it had cased the store and planned it. Need to check the security video for the preceding week.
MS-13 is active in that area
I live just down the street from this store. I was just in there this week to purchase my first gun. They have only been at this location a short time. Amazing!
Someone investing on unregistered guns? Sell them for whatever and none are registered with the gov-mint. Gangs, etc. will be well armed while we law abiding folks have ours taken away.
That’s what I was thinking.
Odd that someone would plan so well and leave prints?
Or the guns were lifted before the alarm was tripped, by someone with a key and knowledge of the twist alarm mechanism...ie, inside job.
Looks like the store owner also cheaped out on the video system.
Did David Gregory need a weapon or two for his magazine???
Cost or current street value??? Can't hardly beg borrow or steal an AR15 right now!
Folks attending this weekend’s Denver gun show, said ARs were going for $4600.
Don’t know make or model.
$75,000 current value, and it would have been about $30,000 a month ago for the same haul.
