I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
The Keegan picture was posted specifically for one of his NICU nurses, who had apparently given him a similar premie sized outfit. She later posted:
“Love me a man in argyle!!
He looks so good!!!”

Awwwwww. Dear sweet babies. Love those little faces. Thanks for sharing El Gato.
As of July 26th.
Here's the big boy himself:
In other news, Keegan will become a big brother in March. They are referring to the new one as Minion, as in Keegan's Minion. :)
And of course no post to Keegan's thread would be complete without a recent Oscar picture too. Recent as in taken this morning when he was out to breakfast with his parents.
Good lookin’ boys! And what great news that the monitors are gone!
BTTT
Wonderful news ((((Hugs))))
Looking at his pictures, El Gato... I just get so choked up. He is so beautiful and I pray for him everyday. This is great news and you just made my day. Hugs, Mom
Thank you!!
Donna
Oh my gosh! Keegan is such a handsome lad and doing so well. Prayers continue of course. And to be a big brother in March. How great it is! Congrats to the mom and dad.
And sweet Oscar! Looking good there kiddo. Love his quilt too.
Heart lifting to watch these youngsters grow. Thanks so much El Gato.
Oscar is the most smiley 6 month old I've ever seen. Great big smiles at the littlest things. Like laying on his Daddy.
The quilt came, I think, from Abuela La Gata. But it could have been an Aunt or and Auntie. Lots of quilters around. I lose track. Even if it is from Abuela, or Tia the actually quilting part could have been done by Auntie Maggie, who has a giant quilting machine in her sewing room. A room that's the size of a double garage, since it was built over theirs. Although for a smaller one, the machines at our place are fine.

My poor baby.... being normal and breaking teeth in on the bottom.

So even though his gestational age is little less Oscar's, Keegan seems to be ahead in the teething department.. which my daughter is just fine with. (Oscar gets the Good Stuff, direct from Mommy.. well from Mommy anyway, when she's working he gets the good stuff, still the Real Deal, from a bottle while snuggling with Daddy)
Go Keegan!! And Oscar, too!

Thank You Lord for blessings in VERY unexpected places ; )
May God bless you all,
Tatt
awwwww...ain’t life grand? Sweet baby smiling with the daddy bear close by. Gotta love it.
Sewing room...a whole room just for sewing? Ahh the good life.
At our house, Oscar's grandma has two. One what is supposed to be the "formal" living room, the other the formal dining room. They are adjacent, and could be considered one big room I suppose, but there is an archway between them.
There is a cutting table, a sewing machine cabinet, with machine. A serger, and another machine that is used for quilting, but can do other things too. A couple of machines that I'm somewhat unsure of their function. One is a die cutter I guess, there is pressing thing too, a smaller version of what laundries use to press pants and such. She who dies with the most fabric wins. And "you can tell the women from the girls by the cost of their toys". Ok it doesn't rhyme as it does with men, boys, toys, but it still applies. Those machines make my guns look cheap. But they are a lot more productive too. They've made prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses, and lots of clothes for daughters, nieces, great nieces and granddaughters, in addition to quilts for the same, plus nephews.. and one husband. The oldest one made her wedding dress. Her grandma taught her to sew, and she learned well. Grandma would be proud, and was while she was alive. She honors her Grandma every time she makes something. She's passing on the tradition to her granddaughters, and a great niece too. So I don't have a problem with any of that.
And message from his Mommy (I think)
Keegan's still wanting to sit up although not very good at it, and there is a tooth or two wanting to poke through in his mouth. Last time we checked he is up to around 13lbs and pretty much normal developmentally. Still working on the eating though. Minion gets an ultrasound on the 21st might post pics or just let the suspense build
So there may soon be a sonogram of Keegans up coming sibling.
Oscar's been wearing his Mom's and Aunt's college "colors".
What sweet happy little boys! :)
