Yellow Rose of Texas in hospital (sad update at #107)

Yellow Rose of Texas is in the hospital for surgery. The odds are not in her favor, this all I know now. I will post more when I know.

I notice someone said, who is Rose.
In the depth of Clinton hubris, when the media and general population ignored criminality and corruption, a handful of men and women rose up indignant on a website started by Jim Robinson.
Tirelessly they combined their efforts, devoted their time and attention and marshalled communication, attention and information to inform our nation. Daily, no, constantly, Yellow Rose of Texas ran a thread compiling news and information, but more than that, lovingly creating fellowship.
The daily thread she created has had a number of names over the years and after she turned it loose, a number of great custodians as well. But she was the first. She was the one Linda Tripp answered saying, “...no, you are the real hero.”
She took lurkers like me and got them registered and involved by posting in open chat rooms and the like far from FR. She was the first of many to say, “Burke, you write some good stuff, but you need an editor.”
So in answer to that question, who is she, I say she is our sister in battle, our daughter in fellowship and our mother in War and the sweetheart of the Republic - the Yellow Rose of Texas — and she has our prayers in a difficult time.
