President Obamas admission to talk show host Jay Leno that my math expertise tops out at the 7th grade level isnt a handicap as Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod sees it.
Some are going to jump to the conclusion that a person like Mitt Romney with his financial experience in multimillion dollar business investments would be a better person to manage the government in a time of fiscal crisis, Axelrod said. But we dont agree.
We think the vast majority of voters will identify with the presidents aversion to math, Axelrod pointed out. Most people find math to be hard and distasteful. They are, in a sense, in sync with the President. They understand his struggle to cope with the severely complex issues of debt and taxes.
In contrast, we think voters will see Romney as a member of an elite minority that easily comprehends high finance and, as such, fails to understand how the average person lives, Axelrod conjectured. They wont vote for the nerd whos a math whiz. Theyll vote for the guy whos like them, the guy they can trust to be on their side.

LOL! If you’re smarter than a fifth grader, you’d make a lousy president these days.
No satire? What else is Axelrod going to say—that like millions of Americans students O was taught by union-label teachers? His daughters’ teachers may be liberal, but you can bet they’re not union.
You are hitting them out of the park!
If you don’t get 7th grade math then you don’t get compound interest and the implications of debt on our future.
So Hussein tops out at the 7 th grade level! After that I guess affirmative action got him through, so he is unable to grasp that fact that spending an extra Trillion dollars a year for four years will drive even the USA into bankruptcy.
So... if you are a fool, you follow a fool!
On Obama’s campaign stump just this week he said we need more teachers. We need to catch up with the Chinese on Math and Science. He is so damn dumb surprised if he can add 2+2 and come up with 4.
“On Obamas campaign stump just this week he said we need more teachers. We need to catch up with the Chinese on Math and Science. He is so damn dumb surprised if he can add 2+2 and come up with 4.”
How can he hope to compete with them on math when he doesn’t even know what math is?
That said, a moment on david axelrod. That man gives me the absolute creeps-deep down gut alarms of evil as I perceive it. His shuffling, weaseling of words (ala bill and hillary) is so apparent to me, I am aghast that anyone can stand to listen to him. 110% liar. All the time.
And there is something compelling and repulsive about his facial lines, eyes and 'do'-to me-an astounding resemblance to Hitler.
He’d be much more attractive were he swinging from the end of a rope...
A demonstrable asinine statement.
I suppose a surgeon who quit his training after one semester of medical school is also perfectly competent to remove a brain tumor from Brokenaxelrod, too. But that's a bad example; no one could notice a difference.
The progressive mantra being pushed is that competence never matters.
"We don't freaking agree!"
Seven years of relentless assertions that qualifications for office is irrelevant no longer works. Even the generations-old parasites are beginning to see that if productive taxpayers no longer have jobs, their gravy train is about to reach retirement.
