Tom Hoefling: "I will shut down every abortion facility in the country"
Tom Hoefling for President 2012 ^ | June 11, 2012 | Tom Hoefling

Posted on 06/11/2012 9:17:17 AM PDT by EternalVigilance

"All officers of government in this country, in every branch, at every level, have as the first obligation of their sacred oath the protection of all innocent lives within their jurisdiction.

Should I be elected to the office of President of the United States, I will keep my oath.

Justice Blackmun, in Roe vs. Wade, admitted that “of course” the child in the womb is protected by the Fourteenth Amendment, if they are a person.

Since it is self-evident that they are a person, my first act as President, after having sworn the oath, will be to publish a presidential finding to that effect.

My second act will be to ask for the resignation of anyone in the executive branch who will not act accordingly.

My third act will be to order the closing of every abortion facility in the country, as per the explicit, imperative requirement of the Supreme Law of the Land.

'No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.'

'No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.'”

>>Yes, your posting history is clear, you are a romneybot.<<

It’s oday. You’re stuck in a loop.
People who need to know will be looking at my homepage and history for themselves. It doesn’t bother me at all that you hang on to your mistaken belief. Really, it’s no skin off my nose.

In the meantime, I’m not going to be nudged into the nasty mob mentality of the “Flying Imams” and “Usual Suspects”. You want to? Bless your Heart. I’m not.

Please give me a reference on where the Constitution defines the “first and most important thing associated with the oath of office”.

You still haven’t answered the question, how would you enforce your proclamation? How would you close them down? What would you do when everyone ignored your proclamation?

>>Oh and I don’t think netmil is a ‘he’<<

I think the “mom” at the end of my name says it all.
Netmilsdad would be really surprised.

Hey, there are a lot of things I'd like to do.

I would like to issue an executive order banning abortions.

I would like to issue an executive order repealing Obamacare.

I'd like to issue an executive order withdrawing all American combat units from any areas where they were committed without a declaration of war by Congress.

But I'm just barely rational enough to understand that I could not do any of these things unilaterally. Just call me a stodgy old fogy, I guess........

The Constitution does a lot of things. Current law and the interpretation of the USSC (the one created by the Constitution) says abortion is legal.

Doesn’t make it right or moral, but it does make it legal.

There are limits to the power of the President. His job is to enforce the law, not make it. So you can issue any proclamation you want but they will be contrary to current law.

So what will you do when nobody pays attention to your proclamation because to do so would be illegal?

Exactly. Given the opportunity to work on a law that would eliminate 99.8% of abortions (and still leave open the opportunity of closing out the other 0.2%) E.V. and his crowd would far prefer to stalk off into a corner, fold their hands, stick their noses in the air, and congratulate each other on their sanctimony.

Notary, you are one the few freepers who has admitted that you are pro-abortion, it is a little disingenuous for you to play these games with the life issue just to support your candidates.

If every woman's uterus is going to be the property of the state, then why not one of everyone's kidneys too?

Ah yes, Big Murder's "not letting people kill babies is a form of slavery" talking point.

This is a PRO-LIFE site mvpel and you clearly don't belong here.

IMO, the quickest way to reduce abortions is to go after the clinics with state and local health codes.

They have health code departments for restaurants, industrial kitchens, hotels, super markets, doctor and dentist offices, etc.

Other than political reasons, why are abortion mills not being inspected?

So, you all would side with those who refuse to do the first and most important thing associated with the oath of office, which is to provide equal protection for the God-given, unalienable rights of the people.

Abortion is important to you but not to most Americans..Even people who say they are against abortion don't really give a hoot about it TBH. It's not an important issue in elections to most people.

Last I checked only 6% of conservatives thought it should be a significant election issue-#1 issue in an election. It's still jobs and size of gov't. #1 issues.

What are the other planks of your campaign other than this one hit wonder?

The response by EV is so simplistic, it sounds like something coming from a Miss America contestant.

EV: “On my first day as president I would close every abortion clinic in the country.”

Miss California: “On my first day as president I would end world hunger and eliminate wars forever.”

So, in Notary Sojac's mind, FReepers are either not permitted to participate in news-making or activism (ie, running for a political office) or at least should be denied the ability to mention their news-making or activism here on Free Republic simply because they are members of Free Republic. That sounds dumb to me. We should encourage FReepers to take part in politics and speak boldly of it. Here's an idea, how about Notary Sojac announces his run for President on his affiliated campaign website first, like Tom Hoefling did, and then bring that here for discussion instead of announcing it here first and ludicrously comparing apples and oranges.

"Pure" -- what are you talking? As if refusing to vote for a guy with a record of ADVANCING the FIVE major liberal agendas of global warming, nationalized health care, abortion, activist judges, and the gay agenda is mere quibbling with the concept of "purity."

ABO is focused so exclusively on the "Great and Powerful Oz" it purports to vote against, that it fails to seriously ponder the devil it's on the verge of voting FOR.

THAT kind of desperate mistake is jumping from the frying pan into the fire. The ALTERNATIVE is to use your presidential vote to, in essence, turn down the fire instead of leaping from pan to flame. Voting third party to weaken the winner's mandate is thinking about what you're voting for AND what you're voting against. ABO is considering only half the equation, and therefore only half the consequences.

Reagan was never pro-abortion although your man Romney has tried to create that myth for 5 years.

Quote: “Reagan was adamantly pro-choice”.

How did you connect this (post 148) to netmil? *”the other a Romney like figure who admits that he switched from abortion to pro-life to run for office, who mocked Reagan conservatives as “fringe”, who endorsed removing pro-life from the GOP platform in 1996 while supporting a pro-abortion presidential candidate, and who passionately endorsed Romney in 2008?”*

That is Rick Santorum, netmil never ran for office.

How would you close them down?

Well, I guess it's a given that Tom would have gotten millions of votes in order to be elected, so I suppose he could just call on his followers to grab their crowbars and chainsaws and take direct action. If that's what floats yer boat.....

The funny thing is, an America which would elect someone on this "platform" is certainly also an America which would have repealed Roe and made abortion illegal, state by state. But doing it the old-fashioned way like that just doesn't send a tingle up the leg like direct action does.....

All medical offices are strictly regulated..even abortion clinics.

Unlike yourself, apparently, I’ve examined what the founders of this free republic considered to be the most important thing.

The equal protection of the God-given, unalienable rights of the people, beginning with the right to life, is at the top of their priorities every time.

And again, abortion violates every single clause of the stated purposes of the Constitution, and its explicit, imperative requirements, as spelled out in multiple amendments.

What do you consider to be the first obligation of the oath?

Sounds like utopia, too bad our system doesnt work that way. Its pretty much a binary system, 1’s and 0’s. Anything else is filtered out as noise. However the error rate can impact the final count of 1’s and 0’s.

So the Preamble is the Law of the Land, now?

Until you do something about it, Roe v. Wade is still the Law, and abortion will remain legal.

You would be laughed out of court and you would be no better than Obama ruling by decree.

Not stuck in a loop, even as you are on a thread pushing everyone to vote for Romney, you are denying that you are doing it.

Your posting history is full of the same.

If you were Catholic, you would understand about the Catholic church, Pope John II, and Mormonism.
