Statistics show a deep divide in opinions along racial lines regarding the killing of a black Florida teenager, Trayvon Martin, by George Zimmerman, who is of mixed ethnicity, white and Hispanic.
Zimmerman has claimed self-defense, invoking the Sunshine States Stand Your Ground law which has also come under intense scrutiny in the wake of the incident.
Reuters news service reported last week, 91% of blacks believe Martin was unjustly killed, while only 35% of whites concurred. Hispanics were in between at 59% according to polling numbers Reuters gathered by querying nearly 2,000 Americans.
The disparity of views over Martins death is even less ambiguous than another racially charged case, the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Significantly nonexistent afterwards was rioting, looting and burning of businesses, or attacks on hapless victims. After all, a black man had received justice, so-called.
Not so when the jury in the trial of police officers involved in the beating of defiant motorist Rodney King in Los Angeles failed to elicit the verdicts minorities were clamoring for.
In the days following that trial, blacks and Hispanics took to the streets of the L.A. basin killing, burning, rampaging, and robbing, feeling they had been denied justice...

“I am really tired of this black vs white people stuff...”
So are we all, but reality simply is. Culture is determinative. The “Urban Black culture” is steeped in racism and the “Gimme Pig” mentality.
“Our government has just gotten too big for its pants!”
Pants ‘em!
In November, we will.
“The courts should not be held hostage by the baying mob.”
But they already are. Zimmerman was charged and arrested to placate the racial mobs. Corey had no new information, she was simply instructed by our spineless Governor, “Zimmerman must be charged and put behind bars.” I’m sure he would eagerly convict him to placate the racist mobs too but that’s liable to be tougher since the evidence against Zimmerman is so thin.
You think the author is sending a message to Zimmerman that being a mentor to the black kid in the inner city for three years is not enough. Now Zimmerman must give up ten years of his life for black racism?
Zimmerman would be mentally ill to give into or take for real all these Black race hate screeches and threats. He needs to get this trial over and move to Texas where half the population looks like him. He just needs change his name to Mexican, grow some face hair and he’s good to go. If someone asks him if he’s Zimmerman, he can pull the race card and tell them they think all Mexicans look alike. :)

Really? I must have missed that. When did that allegedly happen, ‘cause I think it is a simple self-defense case.
The GOP E used to use conservatives despicably forever.
I'm Off the Plantation!
Are You?
That’s the plan.
They took a case that was a good shoot and rewrote the narrative.
They have whipped the perpetually offended into a fever over a case where they can’t get a conviction.
Why send white people out to fight? Send the Negroes.
Or his all white brother Mitt!
The boys in the ROTC brought their guns to school once a week for practice....we had a track for drivers training the whole campus was huge....I have to laugh at the horror it would be to a liberal to have guys bring guns into the school.....it was a different time and most kids had friends of both races...that changed with forced busing that started with elementary school kids....the most vulnerable...That was a time when Detroit was a great city to live in.....

Yes. Excellent points that very well articulated. Thank God they are only 12 % of society and the ones that would protest in race riots even less than that. Very sad and evil indeed.
It’s extremely sad. The democrats probably would not be so successful if they didn’t have black leadership that keeps selling their own people out for personal power.
The Democrats drive a wedge between the black community and a more free, productive, empowered way of life and the power hungry black reverends further drive the wedge between them and God. (or at least try). Sickness and pure evil all around.
sounds like a threat....I lived through the 60s same stuff happened....its just watch your back time...————————————————————————————————————————
Was race violence was limited to the cities back then? Im just thinking at that time segregation arrangements had not been totally changed like they are today. From what I had passed on, only whites within reach had to be concerned about black violence back then. Is that what you witnessed?

I was born in and grew up in Dallas. In my mid-20s I worked 35 miles away in Hurst. In ‘67-68 there was a “black uprising” of some sort and a caravan of dozens of cars loaded with blacks headed to Fort Worth to riot and protest, on the DFW Turnpike (I-30 today and not a tollway).
The Texas Rangers and Sheriff’s Deputies blockaded the road going West and forced the caravan to make the u-turn just before the last toll booth and return to Dallas, with LEO escorts.
Too bad today’s LEOs have to react to threats of violence in a politically correct manner or be fired or sued.
That 13 percent is convinced that they can act with impunity because of years of government imposed guilt on the majority. I don’t subscribe to the guilt one bit.
Your #122 is an excellent posting, Sara! Kudos!
Sorry. Sarah it was your posting TO #122, which I think was #140 or so.
Way past my bedtime....
