From the projects to the White House, February’s shooting death of punk-in-the-making Trayvon Martin has provided a ready-made call to arms for the nation’s professional race hustlers. Even the President has taken advantage of this opportunity to pimp a black death for electoral profit.
And though it isn’t surprising that much of the national media have ignored the way in which the facts of the shooting apply to Florida statute, it does seem difficult to believe that no one in the nation is interested.
Given the many conflicting stories concerning surveillance video and witness testimony it is difficult to know what really happened on the night Martin was killed by George Zimmerman.
And until all of the evidence is presented in court, all that can be stated with any degree of certainty is that the one individual privy to existing information, Florida prosecutor Angela Corey, believed there to be enough evidence against Zimmerman to charge him with 2nd degree murder. A jury will have to decide whether her decision was inspired by fact or politics.
Florida statute defines 2nd degree murder as a killing “…evincing a depraved mind regardless of (having no regard for) human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual…”
Whether according to centuries of English common law or the terms of the Modern Penal Code, a necessary element of criminal homicide—such as 2nd degree murder in Florida– is malice.
And a person who kills another is possessed of a requisite degree of malice if he exhibits: “the intention to kill a human being; the intention to inflict grievous bodily injury…; or an extremely reckless disregard for the value of human life…” It is malice revealed through such a state of mind which makes……

The prosecutor simply needs an OJ jury and he is toast. Absent an OJ jury, you are correct.

George Zimmerman is “guilty” of self-defense.
Unless the prosecution has significant information I don't know about, I don't see 2nd degree. I see possible manslaughter, but not this.
The ONLY thing that Zimmerman is guilty of is being White or Hispanic and exercising his right to self-defense when attacked by a black.
Martin’s parents should have paid more attention to their son and limited his exposure to the corrupting thug culture. THEY are guilty of that negligence.
Of course, that won't stop Zimmerman from being ruined, or certain elements from deciding they want new TVs and free beer.

Which is odd since htey actually take an oath NOT to brign a case to court UNLESS they have enough evidnece to get a conviction for secodn degree- So apparently a sworn oath means NOTHING these days- they broke their freakin oath i nthis caswe- does that mean nothign these days? ruined? the black comunity will NOT be satisfied until someone kills him- Hell, they’ve even blatantly called for him to be killed- they’ve made hteir intentions quite clear- and htey’ve made VERY public death threats agaisnt george- but apparently, it’s ok to break the law if tyou’re black, buit it’s not ok to defend yourself agaisnt a black person who is bvreasking hte law? Is George Zimmerman guilty of 2nd degree murder?
No. He’s not guilty of anything.
He’s being Nifonged.
If Zimmerman qualifies under the Stand Your Ground Act, then he is guilty of nothing. A judge could decide that before this even gets to a jury trial - and Zimmerman could never be tried for the incident in the future.
If Zimmerman is ordered to stand a jury trial. then he has a real decent shot at being found not guilty of second degree murder. Especially since the pictures of the bloody back of his head have surfaced [taken three minutes after the incident].
I don’t know if a jury could convict him of a lesser count - has the prosecutor include the lesser underlying counts of either voluntary or involuntary manslaughter?
If she has, I think Zimmerman would also have a decent shot at beating the voluntary manslaughter charge, but might be convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
not only that, he has immunity from civil suit.
Jeb Bush has apparently stated that he does not qualify for stand your ground act. :(
I have a feeling that this poor guy (if not guilty) is going to be a dead man walking anyway. You know how the animals out there are ...someone will hunt him down...
Zimmerman should be praised as a great citizen for removing a thug from society. Who knows how many people little lucifer travon may have robbed, beaten, or killed as he got older and educated in our penal system.
The prosecutor already won, she is personally opposed to stand your ground. She wants it repealed and her arrest opens the door.
I hope they go after her for violating the laws immunity provisions.

I had a little Trayvon pull a piece of glass on me in High School. One of them spit on me as I walked by at a trade show a couple years after college.
I have no sympathy for the families of little dead Trayvon’s that did not raise them any better.
