Unfortunately, the Congress has allowed itself to become irrelevant. The President does just about anything he wants.

And this didn’t start with Obama. The Imperial Presidency has usurped power from the Congress over many decades.

I think we should be putting a lot more work into taking the [H]ouse and [S]enate from RINOs and Marxists which could render even Obama mostly harmless.

Yes, taking both houses of Congress from RINOs and Marxists is a worthy goal. But it's not going to do much good if "Osama" Obama is re-elected. That's because: (1) He can veto any bill that such a Congress passes - take a total repeal of ObamaCare, for example - and it would be just about impossible to override a veto, since one third plus one of either house can sustain his veto. (2) He can rule by executive order if Congress won't do his bidding.

Fortunately, kicking the RINOs and Marxists out of Congress in significant numbers this year would almost assure that Obama is defeated for re-election. That's because its extremely unlikely to see a rightward trend in Congress while at the same time maintaining an ultraleftist in the White House, especially one with such a negative approval margin.

So the possibility you hypothesize, cripplecreek - RINOs and Marxists out of Congress, while at the same time Obama maintains the presidency - is pretty much impossible, barring unprecedented levels of fraud in the presidential voting.

The posted blog by Michael Savage is very much on target, and very fitting for a man who created an organization called the Paul Revere Society.

Africans who have escaped the Islamist terrorism say the same thing. They say we are in danger of losing everything we’ve been if we don’t wake up.

We have a communist-Islamist foreign enemy combatant in the White House, and from there he has been taking over all the critical infrastructure of this country in order to support the “Muslim agenda” - which totally fits what he told the Egyptian ambassador: that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda.

The agenda that all branches of Islam agree on is the destruction of the US and Israel and the institution of worldwide sharia. Everything Obama has done makes sense when you realize that those are his 2 objectives.

Those who have escaped communism and those who have escaped sharia can all see this for exactly what it is, here in America. Unfortunately, normalcy bias is a very, very strong force.

On his Friday program, Rush Limbaugh commented, more as an aside, that he and some friends were conjecturing on how Obama will ensure he is re-elected. This would not be your typical "October surprise" but something quite different. I have included Freeper FoxinSocks who was also listening on Friday. Now, I am probably not phrasing this correctly but, hopefully one of the other freepers will be able to correct any mistakes.

Rush, hypothetically, surmised that Obama might announce in October, that the build up of uranium in Iran is at the point where an invasion is now necessary ... but ... he can't begin a war that he can't conclude, and does not want to pass this problem along to someone else.

It is quite clever and, given the above, even plausible. Your thoughts?

You also have to bear in mind that the judiciary has been infiltrated with Marxists as well, including 2 Obama appointments to SCOTUS, that will seek to keep Obama in power and his agenda moving forward.

What should have been done or should be done still is to change the election of senators back to state legislature appointment rather than popular vote. That amendment seems to me to have been the critical turn toward central despotism. The States no longer have representation as States in the federal legislature. Their ability to defend their previously sovereign rights, once guaranteed by the Constitution, was excised by the 17th Amendment. That must be repealed, I think, before anything long term useful can be accomplished in Washington.

Anyone who lived under tyranny will tell you in a heartbeat that what's happening here is nothing but a Communist takeover.

Perhaps it's unfortunate that not that many native born Americans have had the opportunity to converse with immigrants from the Soviet Union, the other Iron Curtain countries, or Cuba. They generally have a good handle on what the Obama regime is all about, and when they obtain American citizenship, they vote overwhelmingly against 'Rat candidates.

But even if you have never had this opportunity, knowledge of world history should teach you that republics tend to become decadent and to self-implode and morph into authoritarian regimes.

The House is going to be interesting this round.

FWIW, the latest Rasmussen Congressional Generic Ballot gives the GOP a +6 margin.

It's generally agreed that the redistricting process has given the Republicans a bit of an advantage nationally compared to previous district lines.

The irony, as always, is if Obama ever made it that far, he would be imprisoned or executed by his ideological compadres. They know a megalomaniacal, narcissist when they see one : )

Yes, those republics didn't have our Constitution or legally armed populations, however.

These are huge differences that would stop usurpers, communists and other vermin from enslaving us.

Our founding fathers empowered us through the Constitution and the second amendment to protect our Republic. If we choose to squander that, a lot of people would have died in vain.

“I think they are going for a NAU and global government but first they need to take total control over and crush the Americans-Americans. There is no doubt, they ditched the constitutional form of government and have created a dictatorship. Rinos don’t care.”

Good take on it!

Couple of things different:

1. The number of people taking advantage of the 2nd Amendment.

2. The internet.

3. There is still some dedication to the Constitution among the people in general and those who have sworn to protect it.
