The Weimar Republic in Germany did have a republican Constitution "guaranteeing" specified civil liberties. It lasted a mere 14 years (1919-1933) before it was swallowed up by Hitler and the Nazis. I don't know how far they went in allowing citizens to bear arms, but I do know that during that time, Nazis would obtain arms and use them, as they did in the Munich beer hall putsch.
In short, I challenge anybody to name me one thing that Barack Obama at this point could not legally do, and exactly who would stop him if he tried to do that one thing.
I agree 100%
We’re in a Marxist dominated Oligarchy.
In January when I saw Bush 41 and his son Jeb in the Oval Office yucking it up with obama I almost got sick.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks justiceseeker93. Nope, 2008 was.
Radical right wing gun nut TEA partiers will burn down the Capitol and shoot it up, and he’ll pass emergency measures to deal with the crisis. Wish I were joking.
It very well might be. This regime does not believe that we have any right to remove them.
I’m not only concerned about what President for Life Hussein X will do if he’s re-elected, but what he’ll do if he isn’t
Congress is being worked on. It’s not an either/or thing.
Obama would not be mostly harmless though. Clinton wasn’t harmless. Clinton confirmed almost every POS judge through a Republican Senate.
You give Clinton too much credit. He and his “wife” are every bit the piece of cow feces that Obama is.
Yeah that kind of talk annoys me.
If a President could do that, it would make much more sense for Obama to “cancel” this election then the next one don’t you think. And for Bush to cancel 2004. I remember democrats saying Bush would “cancel” the 2006 elections via “terror alert”. Some freepers said Obama would “cancel” the 2010 elections.
The civil war wasn’t enough to stop elections (which are all run by the states) from happening. Conditions do not currently exist for the President to stage a coup d’etat. The President that tried would end up dead, in jail, or in a mental hospital.
Obama is counting on Hispanics and women to come out and vote for him. And I heard on a cable channel that he is not using his money to support congressional Dems.
Republicans have yet to come up with a counter strategy to counter Obama’s except to hope that gas prices continue to rise. Is this post theme supposed to explain Republicans lack of a strategy?
Here in Maryland Dems permanently established Dem power with allowing all convicted ex-felons to vote again, even treason and child molestation. Guess who they vote for?
Early voting in Dem districts.
No voter IDs to vote, you register to vote online and check a box saying you are an American citizen. Recall Maryland was an illegal magnet with easy drivers licenses and now they passed the Dream Act in state tuition discounts for illegals. Illegals can vote here without worry.
Meanwhile, the drumbeat of Bolshevik Dictator Baby-Doc Barak continues to grow louder - - - .
Their first idea was that replacing Pelosi with Boehner was going to help get rid of Obama. That worked out to be a disastrous plan, Boehner has mostly strengthened Obama, except for the oil pipeline issue.
Then there was the hope that Palin would jump in and wave a magic wand and make Dems go away, all while drawing 6 figures from FNC.
Failing those two ‘plans’ it's been the ABMR musical chair game. Pinning all hopes on a charismatic Republican hero as POTUS candidate was not a very good plan, at least it looks bad now.
If (phony) Romney gets the nomination he would need some real luck to win now. Like gas prices $6 per gallon in October.
The people blame the party for all things but the fact is that the people themselves are most guilty.
I’ve quit the game and I’m down to my final candidate. This one is up to God and I can only look out for my own soul.
It was pretty obvious to me in 2010 that taking the House would be losing some advantages toward beating Dems in 2010. Just looking at history 1993 to 1996 told me this. But I was about the only one, must Republicans were caught up with the idea that the house had some real strategy to beat Obama down, only to learn that they had none except to make themselves unpopular and give Obama a foil.
Losing the House was perfect for Obama re-election. He runs against the ‘block jobs Republican congress’ as well as claiming that they blocked real deficit reduction. He poll tests everything he says. Only gas prices and oil has him at a natural disadvantage because his administration is on record wanting high prices.
