Why use either one?
Your ISP might have online storage.
I have Cox Internet and it provides some online storage.
Also, I think Microsoft gives users a certain amount if they have Windows 7.
[I prefer USB hard drive for my data backups.]
crashplan.com was mentioned yesterday. Personally I have a 1TB external drive that backs up my data.
Just buy two external hard drives. Use one to back up your computer every day of the week. At the end of the week put it in a fireproof safe. Take out the one that’s in the safe and use it for the following week’s backups. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Far cheaper to do this in the long run and you also don’t end up potentially sharing your data with the firm that’s storing it for you.
CARB closed at $9.15 down 0.31 (3.28%) It appears to have worked. Keep it up.
Hard drives are so cheap, it is silly to pay for online storage. Buy several and keep many backups. Western Digital makes a simple To use Network drive that has free backup software with it. Let’s you use the drive from anywhere if you so choose.
I use a 250G Passport for my laptop.
Make sure you tell them why. I have always used Proflowers because of Rush. All the online florists are basically the same, so I really don’t care. I get daily emailsfrom ProFLowers. Today I unsubscribed and I told them why. Told them I hope it was worth it for them, because I don’t think the left is going to make up the business they just lost.
I fired Carbonite and GoToMyPc this weekend. Don’t know if it will help but I feel darn good about it.
Use Crashplan.com....Unlimited storage for $5 a month.
It goes down to $3 if you pay 4 years in advance.
Pretty soon there will be “Mr. K’s online backup and SECURE storage. Encrypted at YOUR computer before you send it, so that when the government next demands to know what you are storing, only you will know”
It’s probably better and cheaper to have your own backup disk.
Now, if any other back-up company has the smarts to target Rush's audience I'll jump to them just to make a point.
Vim Toot!
Storage is cheap, buy a drive and backup yourself. Not hard. Keep in fireproof safe when done backing up.
