Now that the Election of 2012 is heating up Barack Obama and his Party have to build some rationale for reelecting him. This process starts with developing a feel for just how much the halfwits who vote Democrat will fall for .
You can almost hear David Axelrod saying, Send out Wasserman-Schultz and Pelosi to tell the dimwits unemployment is really going down the economy is doing great and the gas prices are up because Republicans wont let the boss drill anywhere.
Yesterday Obama spoke ..ill-educated clapping seals at the University of Miami. .Were making new investments in the development of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel thats actually made from a plant-like substance, algae youve got a bunch of algae out here.
If we can figure out how to make energy out of that, well be doing alright. Believe it or not, we could replace up to 17 percent of the oil we import for transportation with this fuel that we can grow right here in America.
Believe it or not? think about what he said. If we can figure out how to make energy from [algae] we can replace up to 17 percent of oil import[s] Doesnt this mean we dont know how to make energy out of algae? Of course it does, but for purposes of seeing what the dummies will believe Obama might just as well have said we can replace 27% or 37% or 97% of oil imports with algae. They would have clapped anyway; critical thinking isnt taught at most colleges anymore.
What the quislings in the media wont report is we have already tried making energy out of algae and those efforts were abandoned a year ago.
Shell ended its tests of the viability of algae as fuel last February

Isn’t Algae exactly like a plant, in that it IS a plant?
I’ll buy them a beer and call it a “teaching moment”!
The algae deal is similar to switch grass ethanol as it’s always “just around the corner” if only we spend money to develop a product that will never be able to compete on cost with conventional fuels.
The students are probably dumb enough to buy into it. The same goes for his framing of keystone and the huge areas off limits to drilling or exploration.
Hey! Who can we pitch algae as fuel to this week?
Well, let's go to a private university where most kids ride bikes and tell them how wonderful, exciting and forward thinking we are.
Try giving this speech to the unemployed oil rig crews that got pulled from the Gulf.
