What is next in their bag of slurs to define the Governor of Texas, the decade-plus executive of the 13th largest economy in the world, the one that is booming?

It certainly has been something to watch. His record is stellar and so he had to be given the "dumb" treatment.

Has anyone noticed that Governor Perry is the only candidate who is not a Washington insider. The article is being honest. The Republican establishment is Eastern and elitist. They see those who have never lived inside the Beltway as dumb, hicks who need to have their decisions made for them. And year after year after year, those outside the Beltway left those inside the Beltway make all the decisions.

This moron, the party of DC RATS who protects rats in DC, is calling Rick Perry a hillbilly. These people do not have two brain cells to rub together. I'd like to see their dear leader fly a C-130. I wouldn't ride with him.

Perry understands this is war and he also understands crap happens during war. These brave young men are not criminals--they are heroes.

Says a lot when a newspaper in a city taken over by third world illegals has the gall to call a sitting governor a hillbilly.

so he had to be given the "dumb" treatment.

Don't fret, he gets it here too, as do the other candidates by the factions of fans of the opponents......It's dog eat dog with the resident bullies attacking anyone who disagrees with their political favorite. And it's gotten worse with every political cycle since I've been here

Enjoy the FR "uncivil war"......and be careful what you say about your favorite guy lest the dogs be unleashed.

They say that like it’s a bad thing....

I’d rather be called a hillbilly than a Los(t) Angeleno....

If your car broke down on the side of the road, who would be more likely to stop and help you??? Some good ol’ boy driving his 4X4 or someone in a Prius??

I was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, so, yeah, I've been called a hillbilly more than a few times. :) You're probably thinkin' that explains a few things ... ;) It never has bothered me to be called a hillbilly, I consider it a badge of honor.

Conservatives are making a big mistake in not getting behind Perry. I thought they had more sense—I really did.

As for the L.A. Times, I think real men, especially real Southern men, make those metrosexual, namby-pamby, simpering, girlish, nail-buffing androgynous things feel threatened and insecure.
