Imho, the “zots” that have transpired over the last few years on this site have lowered the general IQ of FR immensely. There used to be a lively sense of intellectual debate - that's virtually nonexistent now.

Imho, the “zots” that have transpired over the last few years on this site have lowered the general IQ of FR immensely. There used to be a lively sense of intellectual debate - that's virtually nonexistent now. This is a CONSERVATIVE forum, not a liberal/libertarian debating society.

I enjoyed your simplistic Monday morning quarterback analysis. It agrees with the left-wing Village Voice opinion, that’s for sure. They hate Giuliani as well. I tend to agree with the conservative National Review’s opinion, however:
“In retrospect, it seems clear that the command center’s location was the consensus choice of a number of top officials, Hauer and Giuliani included, who could not foresee what would happen on September 11. It was a reasonable decision given the available information.”

Yup. If it's a choice between Liberal A and Liberal B, it's time for another choice.
Romney could be even more dangerous than Obama - conservatives are mobilized to oppose anything Obama demands, but Romney will come with a GOP chorus demanding that conservatives not do anything to undermine a Republican president. The last time this happened we ended up with Medicare Part D, the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA and the Patriot Act - and Romney is well to the left of Bush.
