UPDATE (1:52am): NEWT IS OUT. RPV TO UPDATE SHORTLY.
(Excerpt) Read more at bearingdrift.com ...
He guest-hosted Hannity’s TV show once or twice this week.
The 10,000 signatures from registered voters may seem easy, it’s not. In addition to that at least 400 signatures must be from each congressional district. There are 11 congressional districts in VA. It’s not a trivial task.
You would not be laughing after about three weeks into Obama's second term......
My last post was in error. I read that Newt failed to make the ballot by 2,000 signatures. Upon furthing checking, Newt did make the ballot by delivering 11,050 signatures.
Republican candidates Jon Huntsman, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania failed to make the ballot.
Mitt Romney turned in 16,000 signatures. U.S. Representative Ron Paul of Texas, had 14,361 signatures, and Texas Governor Rick Perry delivered 11,911.
I’m referring to the primary, the one this thread is about.
Those numbers must be before the news updates. Perry also flunked out.
Seems that way.
This is gonna hurt. Big time.
No way to spin this, really.
Ain’t the Republican party just grand?
Are you sure Newt qualified? I read that the RPV said 2000 of the Signatures that Newt delivered were missing addresses, and hence were disqualified, so Newt failed to qualify for the ballot.
You once said to me that you though all elections would go this way. Took it skeptically then.....looks like you got a Spot Item then.
What would happen, if nobody got enough signatures?
“Hows it going to look when Romney loses a head-to-head against Ron Paul? May be bad for Mittens in the long run.”
That is my thought and that is how I would vote too. I would advance Paul tactically to defeat Romney strategically, and would do so in a heartbeat.
Governor Perry is on the ballot. He actually got more signatures than Newt: 11,911. Newt got 11,050 signatures.

O.K.......Newt will have this rapped up by this time.
Gingrich and Perry both out.
Disqualify the candidate before the vote by technicalities, real or imagined.
And the irony is that no court is willing to grant standing on Obama's ballot challenges, yet the Republican opponents seem to fall left and right without a peep from the courts.
David Axelrod-- Gets Obama's opponent's sealed divorce records opened up
My post number 7 in that thread.:
Obama's rise in politics is a result of the following:1) Obama challenged qualifying signatures on all his Illinois State Senate Democrat primary opponents' applications (see Alice Palmer), running unopposed,
2) Obama had sealed divorce records of his Democrat primary opponent Blair Hull exposed, revealing accusations of wife-beating and forcing Hull out of the primary,
3) Obama had sealed divorce records of his Republican opponent Jack Ryan exposed, revealing accusations of wanting to perform public sex acts and forcing Ryan out of the general election.
4) Obama claims his legislative records in Illinois were not archived, and presumably destroyed, leaving no paper trail of his past government experience. (See last paragraph of article)
It seems that Obama can't win without legal technicalities or by destroying his opponent by exposing sealed private records.

Is this how the election is going to go?
Holder is going to reject voter IDs in swing states, and then oust all the Republican challengers, too?

The fix has been in for some time now ...What’s the surprise ?
