Herman Cain has always been 100% pro-life. As a very successful CEO, he knows the devil is in the details, and he is not dictator material. So he has now signed the pledge only to prove he is, indeed, 100% pro-life. It wasn’t wafflling, nor did it indicate any change of mind.

Help me out, I want to vote for the pure candidate who is not a hypocrite in any part of his life. What is his name?

Pray for America

Well, it looks like we were right and Herman was wrong about “advancing legislation”.

Was this done for Political purposes?

Oh I don’t know. Blocked Abortion clinics, with other pro-life supporters.
I like more action than words. Perry has taken action.

“Lupe Trevino, the elected Democratic sheriff of urban Hidalgo County, said the Ranger Recon program was “an obvious political ploy” as Perry wades into a bruising Republican primary for re-election against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

“We don’t need the Texas Rangers to come to the border to quell any imaginary disturbance,” said Trevino, vice chairman of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Southwest Border Task Force.

Texas Rangers Assistant Chief L.C. Wilson, who is overseeing the Ranger Recon teams, said he planned to discuss the plan with some border sheriffs this week at an out-of-state conference.

But Wilson said Perry’s announcement that the Ranger Recons would be used to “address the increased burglaries of rural homes, ranches and hunting camps in remote areas along the Texas-Mexico border” wasn’t the whole story.

“What we’re really worried about” is the spillover of the drug cartel violence in northern Mexico, he said. “That’s what the governor doesn’t want coming over here.”

Wilson declined to release any information regarding the placement or number of what he characterized as “outdoor SWAT teams,” but said they were trained and equipped for “nighttime domination.”

“We want (smugglers) to be fearful that anytime they come over they could be running into a team,” he said.”
SD UNION 2009

Seems Perry and the Rangers are right.
Yesterday in Houston area. A grain truck loaded with drugs was headed north. A CI was driving being followed by agents. Next thing you know a car with Zeta Cartel thugs drove up beside the truck and shot the CI. The agents following opened fire along with Sheriffs deputies.

One Deputy was shot in the firefight.

You can Thank Janet Napolitano and Obama for the DRUGS headed to a school near you.

At least with Perry as President, we might actually slow this crap down.
It is obvious that there are some in Texas that are making money off of this nightmare and Perry as President would be the last thing they would want.

Cain promises to build a fence, but he’s never built a fence, and he’s never actually done ANYTHING to stop illegals from coming into this country.

“build the fence” is trivial platitudes for a guy who has lived his life not doing anything to stop our open borders.

Perry is rated good on border security, and has a real plan to stop illegals. He has actually DONE the job of stopping illegals coming into Texas. He won’t waste money on a useless fence like some other candidates who don’t have any idea how to secure a border.

As to this, I don’t know if Cain is committing a shameful political stunt now, or if he was committing a shameful political stunt before when he wouldn’t sign. My guess is that his handlers have finally explained to him that one of the jobs of President is to get congress to pass laws he wants.

Now, his handlers need to tell him that the President doesn’t sign constitutional amendments.

Then they could do the much harder job of explaining to him that the President is the representative of our country to the world, and actually has to understand the basics of foreign policy. That is, if his handlers have figured that out yet.

Actually the truth is Perry has spent 400 million more tax dollars on securing the US/Mexico border than any person on stage.

That's the truth.

My point is, you thought it insulting that someone might assume you’ve done nothing simply because I don’t happen to know about it- and you’re right.

Thus, you were being not only insulting but a hypocrit too by assume Cain had done nothing simply because you had not heard about it.

So I trapped you, and you fell in hook line and sinker.

If his “standing up” to the Union Leader and to the pro-life-pledge organization are any indication, I wonder why anybody thinks he’ll stand up for any of his OTHER heartfelt positions when it becomes clear the politically expedient thing is different?

So Cain calling abortion a social choice and agreeing it shouldn't be part of the political discussion is unapologetic pro-life?

What has Herman Cain done for border security? He backtracks on almost every controversial thing he says and the apologizes for it.

Cain has actually taken Perry's border security plan and has been touting it! and poorly I might add.

Cain didn’t apologize for being pro-life, he simply completely messed up what it meant for several months, confusing people into thinking he was only personally pro-life but wouldn’t push his views through government action.

On the other hand, Cain hasn’t actually DONE ANYTHING to stop abortion, at least not that has been reported anywhere. There’s no indication he picketed abortion clinics, or lobbied for pro-life restrictions, or refused to offer abortion in the health insurance he gave to his Godfather’s employees.

He’s never voted on ANY pro-life legislation, or enacted anything.

Rick Perry, on the other hand, has. Defunded planned parenthood. Require sonograms before abortions. Support adoption measures. Pro-life license plate.

He’s been a force in the pro-life movement. He’s spoken at pro-life events. He opposed embryonic stem cell research, partial birth abortion.

Same thing on border security. Cain has done nothing to secure the border. Perry has been pro-active; building fencing where it would help, deploying texas rangers, apprehending illegals, putting them in jail and pushing for the feds to deport them. Perry has a strong border security record.

He is also a proven fiscal conservative, and won’t waste money on a useless fence just because saying he will is “politically expedient”. Nobody is going to build a fence across the Rio Grande — Perry is just the only candidate who is willing to tell you what should and shouldn’t be done, while the others just say “build the fence” because it’s easy to say.
