Retiree for Army is blue as of two years ago. Pink, maybe Marines? I think my BIL’s might have been pink.

Only Veterans who are eligible for VA medical benefits will receive the card.

I’m not eligible for VA medical benefits due to income.

They sent me a letter last year to enroll because I was a combat veteran so I did. Then they sent me a letter telling me I wasn’t eligible because I made too much money.

That’s the Federal Government for you...

I was on active duty in the navy for 4 years. But my commitment was for 6 years with 2 being inactive reserve. Therefore I got a pink ID that was valid for 2 years. I assume since you served 9 your full commitment was met.

I have my retired Military ID to show them. What I claim can easily be verified.

Was reading this article and thinking about Free Republic and how it has contributed to sanity in this nation. consider the TVs that are still functional not having been shot, the walls without holes punched in them, the many small children who have not yet learned profanities. This is all due to Jim and Free Republic lending us a megaphone to shout our frustrations at the world. So get off your wallets people, put your money where your mouth is and help us pay for that megaphone. our sanity depends on this.
Respectfully

I can’t buy at the b-ex or anything like that.

Are you sure about that? Our local BX allows people with pink ID to buy things.
