During Wednesday night’s CNBC debate, Rick Perry couldn’t recall the third department he would eliminate. Will this end his campaign — or just be a bump in the road?

I missed the actual debate (and thus Perry’s total performance) so I can only base my opinion on the clip I saw of the gaffe.
My feeling: if Perry had been doing well and leading the pack thus far, it wouldn’t have been a big deal. The problem, as I see it, is that Perry has been needing a big win in the debates for a while now. Tonight’s gaffe may not cost him points, but it won’t help him make up lost ground in the polls, either. And with the general election less than a year away, time is not his friend.
People here on FR don’t take too kindly to calling people any form of “mentally challenged” or making fun of mentally challeneged people.

Everything because its not just debates. It’s communicating the conservative vision to the people, rallying the American people to the cause of limited government. Reagan: great communicator, great president.
Teleprompters can do that, and the American people don't care one way or the other.
He must have had back surgery prior to his New Hampshire speech.
How many more back surgeries is he slated for?
The Republic gave us Bush, LBJ and Ron Paul.

LOL — if it were Cain’s “oops” moment and not Perry’s, we’d be overflowing with comments here saying three things:
1.) “The Moderators asked this question just to make him look bad!”
2.) “This will only HELP Cain, not hurt him!”
3.) “I just donated more money to the Cain campaign!”
I do NOT care what color, we just need a sane conservative with experience outside of politics.
Mitt isn’t a conservative.
Perry is stupid. However, he did start out as a po’ boy and has become a millionaire on a Texas gov’s salary in ten years........
Bachman is stupid. (Alleged tax lawyer who doesn’t know the difference between a corporate income tax and a value-added tax)
Paul is crazy. He refuses to note the danger Islam has presented to the outside world for 1400 years.
But for his father, Huntsman would be holding a sign at an intersection begging for food.
NOOT has either been holding office or teaching a class at taxpayer expense his entire career. If it were not for speaking fees and book sales, Callista would never have looked twice.

As for Cain, if you took all the women I have (allegedly) offended in my 45 years and put them in Texas, the whole state would look like Hong Kong! If this is all they can dig up.....

Monday he holds a press conference with huge leg cast, tearful wife and dead coyote, to announce the suspension of his campaign on the advice of his physician, but he'll never stop fighting for the restoration of American greatness, coyote-free jogging trails, etc, etc.
