Violence by Occupy Wall Street protesters has spread to demonstrations across the nation, with thousands of rioters arrested and dozens of police officers injured. Ed Mullins, president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, explained New Yorks police officers are working around the clock as the already overburdened economy in New York is being drained by occupiers who intentionally and maliciously instigate needless and violent confrontations with the police. More than twenty New York city police officers have been injured by the protesters.
Here is a photo of Felix Rivera-Pitre, an HIV-positive protester, assaulting a New York city police officer:
AnkaKarewicz posted this photo from Occupy Oakland, showing that the event organizers were training the protesters how to assault peace officers:

The protesters at Occupy Phoenix have been distributing a leaflet titled When Should You Shoot a Cop which advocates the murder of law enforcement officers.

The Boston police are investigating threats made to their officers by Occupy Boston organizers, protesters, and sympathizers.

It isnt only that the protesters are engaging in violence, or that the organizers are encouraging violence. To make matters worse, the organizers are discouraging event participants from reporting violence and other crimes to the police as part of their media management strategy. Victims of violence, including sexual assault, are being pressured to let these crimes go unreported so as to prevent media coverage of these incidents. One police officer described the grim situation in Zuccotti Park, There is a lot of infighting in the park. There is one part of the park where they wont even go at night.
AO1, pop some for me too! I'll bring the beer!
I don't see this violence as necessarily an asset to the Republicans. Nixon barely won the popular vote in 1968, despite years of civil violence and a very unpopular war. Of course, The spoiler George Wallace was in the mix. Also, Democrats held healthy majorities in both Houses of Congress in 1968.
Unless something is different now, people will not be deterred in their lock step voting for the party of perversion.
How is that funny? In Texas, they are still called Peace Officers.
Me, I kinda like “quaint” traditions.

Their idiot mayor is to blame for the problem...I think if Rudy was still mayor, this would have been cleaned up a long time ago...New Yorkers that voted for Bloomy are to blame for the situation slso...the mayor tells the chief of police when to act and he is a mayor that doesn’t care...
In Texas and elsewhere, “peace officer” covers a much broader class of certified law enforcement than just public patrol officers and detectives. It also includes specialized state enforcement agents, such as Alcoholic Beverage Commission personnel. The definition is very specific, but broader than just “Police.”
How did they sweep out the trash? Even though Dems lost Congressional and Senate seats in 1972, they still held strong majorities in both. I hope we can do much, much better than that.
And, the incumbent "sweeper" was a "crook" who left office in shame just a year and a half later.
Sorry to be such a downer, but 1972 is not an election year for Republicans to emulate. I'd rather build on a 2010 model.
What is startlng about them? This was the plan all along.
She was interviewed on Fox TV. I think it was earlier this afternoon, (I may have taped it another day, I can’t remember). She was very distraught at losing her business, and seemed terrified to try to walk through the crowd to get to her front door.
Startling to the average voter, not you and me. I’ve been dealing with communists since I went to basic training.
What he did that almost got him impeached looks laughable today compared to “Fast & Furious,” ObamaCare, Solyndra, New Black Panthers, etc, etc..
An alarming statement, because it is so true. But "we" are infiltrated, nevertheless.
No argument with you there. None whatsoever. And he was honorable enough, something that doesn't exist now, to step down.
Bump
ROFL!!
Trying to provoke a harsh response is the MO of communists. There was a series of Youtube videos that showed the methodologies the communists have used all over the globe, and basically starting a fight and then milking their own sob story to get sympathy from the public is how they try to get everybody to think that the system is repressive.
These people are doing their level-best to get dry tinder all in one place so they can create a spark and set the place on fire. Really transparent.
