Seriously, if Romney gets the nomination then I will either just vote 3rd party or just stay home.
Cain is my man, but I saw a tie between Mitt, Newt, and Santorum.
Cain did as good as Bachman for # 2.
Perry, Huntsman, and Paul are done.
Romney got the most air time, is that what they mean?
Newt.
The Speaker and Mr. Cain won this debate.
Soros-Romney avoided questions but will be “crowned” by
his DNC MSM.
The format was good at showing more of the personality. I know it’s not popular to say here, but Romney does come across well, and while he is weak on many issues (flat-out wrong on some), his fiscal conservatism is good enough that I will support him if it comes to that, much like I did when Mark Kirk was the choice to replace Obama in the Senate.
As the great philosophers Jagger and Richards wrote, “you can’t always get what you want, but you get what you need”....and what we need first and foremost is to make sure the horrible reign of Barack the First comes to an end next November.
Please tell me Bachmann didn’t actually say something about turning 9-9-9 upside down and getting 6-6-6.
If so, she should not only quit the race, she should quit the House.
The Highlight of this debate came in the Beginning when Tumulty asked if people on Wall st. should be in Jail for the Housing Crisis and Michelle Bachman gave the Best explanation I have Heard in YEARS as to what REALLY happened with the Community Investment act and the Government forcing banks to LOWER lending Standards ,so if anyone should Go to Jail it should have Been Chris Dodd and Barney Frank,Newt followed up and was Fantastic,THIS SHOULD BE THE HEADLINE FROM THIS DEBATE FOLKS,THE FIRST TIME THE REPUBLICANS HAD THE BALLS TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS ABOUT THE HOUSING CRISIS.I thought Tumulty looked like she wet her pants, she thought she was going to embarass the Candidates and they kicked her in the Ass

“Who won the latest Republican debate?
Maybe the democrats?
Just a guess as I didn’t see or listen to a moment of it.
Newt won.
You forgot the Barf alert. It is so sickeningly sweet towards Romney, I could barely get past the first paragraph. GACK!
The American people is the answer.
I heard damned good responses to some damned good questions tonight and it aired on some channel so obscure I had to get a web link in order to watch.
The American people, all American people should have been able to see this tonight on network TV.
I enjoyed everything I heard. Regardless of whether I agreed or disagreed, the whole atmosphere reminded me of where we should, or could be!
I’d say that there’s a better than even chance that the eventual GOP ticket will be Romney/Cain.
He *looked* Presidential? WTF does that mean? And more to the point, WTF does it matter?
Holy Moses, no wonder this country is in the crapper. We now believe that there is causal relationship between looks and [ability, positions, qualifications etc]?
Obama is qualified because he is 1/2 black and Romney is qualified because he looks good? How about Trump? He's got the best comb over hands down. Palin has a great rack and nice legs, surely that means more than being a former governor.
I must be living in an alternate universe in a DC comic book.
Buncha one trick pony bad actors stiffly declaiming memorized mini speeches. Rick Perry won.
It’s a little ridiculous to criticize Cain as being “one-note” when the discussion of the evening was limited to the economy, and pretty much everyone agrees that some change in current taxation is central to restimulating it. Cain’s approach just happens to be his 999 plan.
It’s not like he was responding to questions on foreign policy, abortion, gay marriage and the military.
Romney did the best, though Cain did well. It was Perry’s best debate, but that’s a low standard. I think thing’s are pretty much unchanged.
I liked the format a lot.
