"Who won the latest Republican debate? Going into the debate, Mitt Romney was the frontrunner. After the debate, he remains the frontrunner. Of all the candidates, Romney appeared the most presidential. He is becoming increasingly skilled in debates. Other candidates attempted to challenge Romney on a number of occasions, but he used them as opportunities to promote his candidacy. In some ways, Herman Cain was in the center of the debate. The crowd enjoyed Cain, but he runs the risk of becoming a one-note candidate, known only for his "9-9-9" plan. As for Rick Perry, he was not harmed as he was in previous debates, but he was flat. He seemed afraid of hurting himself. Romney and Cain were comfortable.
The Republican debate this evening had an unusual format. Rather than having each candidate at his own podium, as in all the previous debates, the candidates were seated at one big table. In the past, this format has been known to encourage the candidates to be a bit more civil. For some reason, candidates are less comfortable attacking each other when seated together...."

WEll, then you will be voting for Obama! Please re-think this.
Romney isn’t my favorite but I would vote for my dog before I would help Obama win again.
Reddy, to us Texans you talk funny, too.
Sheesh. Next you’ll be grading candidates on their hairdos.
Cain did ok, held his own.
Newt was great - I actually chuckled when he started getting downright angry, appropriate for his point but clashed with the decorum (but I loved it)
Romney seemed to be in command, but he’ll never eliminate the cringe factor on multiple levels.
Paul, the old coot, must have taken some Ridalin before the debate - he was actually calmer than usual.
Santorum - I’ll give him the family values point on making the profound point on the value of a strong family unit.
Perry - better than the previous debates, but that’s relative. He didn’t hurt himself.
Hunstman - what a fake.
Bachmann - And, to answer your question and other’s; yes, she actually left a hanging statement about the 999 upside down. I just rolled my eyes. How stupid. The question to Perry about being a Demoncrat and working on ManBearPig’s campaign in the eighties - again - stupid.
She also, like a broken record, brought up the 20-something foster kids and the other single points she makes every time, blah blah blah. Still the majorette in front of the band.
Who won? Probably Newt.
Newt was great.
Santorum was good.
Perry did okay.
Bachmann was okay.
Cain seemed defensive.
Romney was talky.
Paul was Paul.
Huntsman, who cares.
She did, but it was an obvious joke. She said that a national sales tax would become expanded over time. "When you take the 9-9-9 plan and turn it upside down, the devil is in the details" (laughter)
Yes.
Sitting out next year’s election out of personal pique is downright unpatriotic.
Good points. I agree.
ABO.. Anyone But Obama
Cain also needs to cover other aspects of his plan that deals with the economy, besides 999. Maybe he can in another debate. They kept bringing up 999 so he had to respond to that. They could have asked him about the empowerment zones for bringing business and jibs back to inner cities for boosting the economy and reducing welfare and unemployment rolls.
Huntsman is a complete sour puss! He looks like Barney Fife but has the personality of a Eddie Haskell.
Romney was the clear winner. No gaffes, smooth, sounded smart.
Gingrich: Content winner. Sharp, well-versed in anything, complimentary.
Perry: Solid answers. Handled gotcha question fine. Strong finish.
Cain: 9-9-9
Others: Who cares.
There is no way that Obama doesn't take California.
However, if more than 5% of US voters vote for the Green Party then they will become an 'officially' recognized party, which should cause the Democrats grief for quite some time to come.
Newt is definitely the smartest there. The fact that he stated boldly they should go to jail may help him. We need more pubbie candidates like him that have the balls to say and do things that Rino-socalists like Mittens will not.
I don’t like Romney at all. But, to read Freepers saying they will stay home if Romney is the nominee is upsetting. Here we have a Marxist in the white house, the greatest internal threat this country has ever seen, and you would stay home on election day? Sorry, I don’t get it.
Agree, that was a good one. Actually, the best I have seen out of Bachman.
Am really tired of hearing about how many kids she has raised. That was her choice, lots of folks do things to help others but patting herself on the back constantly looks bad.
Romney, smooth...to “F”ing smooth and WAY too smug. He makes my teeth crawl.
Staying home is not an option. Obama must go.
Which will be easier? Re-elect Obama and impeach or elect a RINO and convert him to conservatism? Hint; RINO’s never change....
“But my fear is, some will not be convinced that a vote for Romeny is better than Obama.”
I’m sick of this kind of crap being shoveled at me every time there’s an election. I’d rather see a quick path to an upheaval than a slow death by a thousand paper cuts of lost liberty and will chose to vote for the quickest way to radical change.
A Romney win would be proof that America deserves more punishment, and yes, I’m sure Obama will be glad to continue carrying it out.
“Yes.
Sitting out next years election out of personal pique is downright unpatriotic.”

I never thought I’d even consider voting for Romney (I was a huge Palin fan hoping she’d enter the race), but if per chance he does win the nomination, there’s no comparison between him and Obama. Obama is a Marxist who hates his country, Romney (although a RINO) isn’t a Marxist and doesn’t hate his country.
Good grief, those who are thinking of sitting out or voting for a third party candidate, and thus insuring Obama a second term to finish destroying this country, a nothing but selfish, self-serving a-holes! There’s no excuse for actively choosing the worst of two choices!
