Feeling abused and mistreated in the face of Congressman Darrell Issa’s narrow minded view that Attorney’s General should tell the truth to House investigators, Eric Holder has addressed a 5 page letter to Republican and Democrat members of the House Government Oversight Committee.
Following are some of the highlights of this unintentionally laughable bit of deflection, distortion and demagoguery.
1.) “We are committed to disrupting and dismantling the organizations that traffic weapons across our borders…,” writes Holder of the “most important responsibilities” of his Department of Justice.
Of course, it was his own DOJ that did most of the trafficking as it provided straw purchasers with countless tax dollars for the purchase of thousands of weapons and then helped to smuggle them across the Mexican border. Naturally, if the Attorney General is in fact suggesting the dismantling of the DOJ, he’ll find any number willing to help.
2.) “I have no recollection of knowing about Fast and Furious or of hearing its name prior to the public controversy about it.”
Here, Eric is adopting the famed “Hillary Defense” originally employed by Sgt. Schultz: “I know NOTHING!” Apparently we are to believe Mr. Holder’s version of events rather than all of those lying DOJ memos and emails.
3.) Speaking of the documents which prove him to have been less than truthful with Darrell Issa, Holder writes, “…I have attached them to this letter…making them public

First order of business when he appears again is to swear him in and make him reiterate as sworn testimony every allegation in the letter.
Where do I sign up to oversee the dismantling of the largest illegal gun operation in history - DOJ?
So, did he try the Al Gore defense of “I must have gotten up to get some iced tea when they were discussing this particular part so therefore I didn’t actually hear it, even though I was at the meeting...”

Wow. Wow (again). That statement alone is jaw dropping. I have no words to express the irony in this.
Maybe he’ll take a page from Hillary’s playbook, with the documents “he never saw” turning up on his nightstand two years later.
I’d like to see him claim that he never got the e-mails.
