If they don’t “act” like one now, there’s no reason for them to “act’ like one if they get statehood. All out war and bloodshed with an ally is the reason most people care.

There is no such county as “Palestine”, there never was.

Somebody Pls Explain Why We Care if the Palestinians Declare Themselves a "State".

I wish they would and the next day all that decide to live within the borders of "their" state can experience the power and excellence of the IAF before those Palestinian terrorists orgy with their 72 virgins.

Because as far as they are concerned, their “state” encompasses all of Israel, from the Jordan to the sea, and they will, at once, go to war with those interloper Jews.

For the same reason the U.S. cannot tolerate secession by a state.

Could someone please explain to me, if a group of people has the ability and function to declare themselves a state, why they should care what that collection of zoo exhibits on the East River in Manhattan declares or doesn’t declare.

PLO and Hammas are Terrorists. State run terrorism is the outcome of recognition.

No one sane wants that for Israel!

If they were a State maybe they wouldn’t pretend “Pls” is a word.

They might even learn when to capitalize.

Maybe you should try to be a State. Or at least semi-literate.

Because ALL the leaders of the Palestinians have as their #1 priority the destruction of Israel.

All they have to do is pledge to live at peace with their neighbors and they can become a state.

Among some of the good reasons posted above - there are agreements in place on how and when a “Pali State” can be recognized and - this ain’t it

1. It would legitimizes the notion there is such a thing as a Palestinian,
2. Because every time Israel would retaliate for a rocket attack or some other terrorist act originating in the “Palestinian State”, the Palestinian state could claim invasion!
3. Also it rewards terrorism again!

A lot of Israel’s oil and gas and potential oil and gas in the Mediterranean would be in Palestine’s territorial waters.

Seriously, if you don’t know we should care, maybe you need to come out of your mommies basement and try to understand the real world

The second the UN ratifies the PA as a “state” the ME explodes

It would become the number one terrorist haven and training ground in the world, right next door to Israel.

Because it isn’t their land. Most Palestinians are refugees from the Lebanon and Syria civil wars as well as infiltrators from neighboring countries using Israel as a political football.

Them becoming a state would be akin to illegals here declaring that half of Texas belongs to them.
