President Ronald Reagan knew that the promises of Soviet leaders were like a mirage, desperate people get their hopes up, only to discover there was nothing there. Why would we not blindly trust the congress when they say there are spending cuts in these deals? Its because we have been down this road before. A few months ago, during the budget standoff, we were told that the GOP would cut $100 billion, then prorated to $61 billion and we settled for $38 billion. After it was scored we ended up with something less than $400 million. A far cry from what was promised.

Most people here get it. A few do not.
I am not saying that they are stupid; just spread thinner than their resources. This makes them all the more susceptible to "helpful" lobbyists, who massage them with forked tongues.
All of this means that our work will continue to be cut out for us, if America is to survive in a recognizable form.

The TRUST was already broken in the spring when the promised cuts turned out to be smoke and mirrors.
Now we need to VERIFY that every piece of legislation is iron clad. And then we need to make sure that it is enforced.
If Obama has money to push the homosexual agenda in schools, he doesn’t need additional funds. So I say keep the debt limit in place and give Obama clear priorities through legislation that ties his hands.
