Reagan’s wise retort needs to be updated: I DON’T TRUST - THEREFORE I VERIFY
It’s sad that I have turned into a cynical skeptic who assumes the worst of intentions.

I'd sooner trust the real communists than this sorry bunch.
Thanks but, no thanks

Most people here get it. A few do not.

To keep moving Congress to the Right is going to require eternal vigilance on the part of the Conservative grass roots. Professional politicians are always morally suspect; but their personal ethics are not the only issue. Many of them do not have a clear conception of their Constitutional duty; few of them understand the economy; yet fewer, really understand money, or what is useful & what is not in the interactive social dynamics, or how easily Government can muck up a situation.
I am not saying that they are stupid; just spread thinner than their resources. This makes them all the more susceptible to "helpful" lobbyists, who massage them with forked tongues.
All of this means that our work will continue to be cut out for us, if America is to survive in a recognizable form.

The TRUST was already broken in the spring when the promised cuts turned out to be smoke and mirrors.
Now we need to VERIFY that every piece of legislation is iron clad. And then we need to make sure that it is enforced.
If Obama has money to push the homosexual agenda in schools, he doesn’t need additional funds. So I say keep the debt limit in place and give Obama clear priorities through legislation that ties his hands.

Gee, I would have liked to read the rest of the article.
Unfortunately, you chose to pimp it rather than post it.
A great many more FReepers would probably have benefited from the writing if you'd just simply acted as a member of the community rather than a profiteer.
