About three weeks ago, the word came down through Arizona Organize For Palin that a screening of The Undefeated would take place in Phoenix. We literally had five days to get the word out and we did. A handful of us activists immediately began inviting community leaders, activists, radio hosts, reporters, church leaders, etc. and in a matter of days, we packed the screening room. Last night, we learned that the 7:45 showing our group attended had sold out and prompted a second screening room to be opened. While in the theatre, our state O4Palin coordinator extraordinaire, Rebecca Feldman, received news via Twitter the 5pm crowd was packed and gave a standing ovation at the end.
While at the theatre, there was a great deal of applause starting from the beginning when Palin was being introduced as the VP selection in 2008. I loved it when Obamas image & voice were shown people booed :) When Pelosis image was shown, the room erupted in hissing sounds. At the end, it was a standing ovation with some yelling out Palin for President. Great night! Nothing like spending an evening with a great O4Palin group already proving to be a mighty force in Arizona. Our coordinator has already been featured on local news to combat the state chair of the Democrat party who was predictably dismissive of Palin and her impressive record (he sounded just like many in the GOP hierarchy these days). This is the reason its important for everyone to see the movie: you get to see what Sarah accomplished which leaves the current GOP line-up in the dust! Seeing her accomplishments also makes Obama look weak, stupid and like the diminutive f(rea)k that he is.
I do want to share a story from the screening we attended on June 30. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Bannon, Stephens brother. Very nice guy! He told the audience before the screening the Palins would have been with us that evening, but they had to fly to Anchorage so Sarah could serve jury duty. When Palin was asked why she didnt get out of serving jury duty (which she could have done), she explained that by doing so it meant another Alaskan would be called to serve and taken from a job they need to support their families in these difficult times.
Who else on the public stage has that sort of consideration for regular people?
Thats why I want Palin to run: her servants heart is not conditional its consistent and rooted in Christ not a party, corporation or trend. She is real, and we need a real person to deal with the real problems we face.
Make sure to see The Undefeated, join Organize 4 Palin in your state, get literature to distribute and encourage people to see the film! Lets get ready to kick Barry Soetoros scrawny butt out of office in 2012!
“it’s consistent and rooted in Christ”
It’s the “rooted in Christ” part that is so very important. She wrote the following prayer.
“Let me not become disconnected from You, Lord. Like that red kite, let there be a connecting string between You and me, so that I can fly high and safe as You’ve created all people to do. with that string I will go where You want me to go. I’ll be what You want me to be. Thank You for Your grace”.
I do believe that God is pulling Sarah’s string and putting her right where He wants her to be and where we need her to be. Keep praying. god is listening.
I hate typing on this IPad. Should be God is listening.
I like Palin. However, I find this answer to be too politician like. I would prefer she just said, “It is my civic duty, and I feel honored to be a jury.” Period.
Not true. My father and brother in law were both policemen and I was picked to serve.
You can add Tiger Woods to that list also.
Don’t use absolutes. I said IN MY AREA, in my county, this is how they do it. If they pick relatives of leos in other parts of the country then that is how they do it there, but for the guy whose comment I answered originally, I was correcting him when he said leos served, they don’t serve in all parts of the country, they don’t serve in mine.
Considering the amount of people worldwide that will suffer the after effects of the fall of America if Obama gets re-elected, you’re right, she very well may be the that important.
But don’t worry, it won’t go to her head like it did to the vacuous Nobel Prize winner.
She’ll be too busy fixing his mistakes for awhile.
And just to be historically accurate, we know that Jesus drove a Plymouth.
We know that because he overturned the tables of the moneychangers at the Temple in a Fury. Too bad there wasn’t a Youtube on that!
Norm, I’ll try not to spend all the Palin points in one place. ;)
Great list.
I’m pretty sure recently unearthed scrolls had woodcuts of Jesus in an early model F-250, being he was a carpenter and needed something to haul his tools ;)
My kidding earlier aside, I agree with you totally. If Palin, or any other person does manage to set right the post Obama world, that person and their admin. will surely be regarded among the greats of history. The damage he and his fellow travelers have wrought is astronomical (already, and the ultimate fallout will only manifest and increase in the coming years) and fixing it will be a task like no other in history.
“Palin for Rushmore!”
Wish I had said that — qualifies for the post of the year, IMHO.
Gets them pissed as hell, too.
Cheers!
