About three weeks ago, the word came down through Arizona Organize For Palin that a screening of The Undefeated would take place in Phoenix. We literally had five days to get the word out and we did. A handful of us activists immediately began inviting community leaders, activists, radio hosts, reporters, church leaders, etc. and in a matter of days, we packed the screening room. Last night, we learned that the 7:45 showing our group attended had sold out and prompted a second screening room to be opened. While in the theatre, our state O4Palin coordinator extraordinaire, Rebecca Feldman, received news via Twitter the 5pm crowd was packed and gave a standing ovation at the end.
While at the theatre, there was a great deal of applause starting from the beginning when Palin was being introduced as the VP selection in 2008. I loved it when Obamas image & voice were shown people booed :) When Pelosis image was shown, the room erupted in hissing sounds. At the end, it was a standing ovation with some yelling out Palin for President. Great night! Nothing like spending an evening with a great O4Palin group already proving to be a mighty force in Arizona. Our coordinator has already been featured on local news to combat the state chair of the Democrat party who was predictably dismissive of Palin and her impressive record (he sounded just like many in the GOP hierarchy these days). This is the reason its important for everyone to see the movie: you get to see what Sarah accomplished which leaves the current GOP line-up in the dust! Seeing her accomplishments also makes Obama look weak, stupid and like the diminutive f(rea)k that he is.
I do want to share a story from the screening we attended on June 30. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Bannon, Stephens brother. Very nice guy! He told the audience before the screening the Palins would have been with us that evening, but they had to fly to Anchorage so Sarah could serve jury duty. When Palin was asked why she didnt get out of serving jury duty (which she could have done), she explained that by doing so it meant another Alaskan would be called to serve and taken from a job they need to support their families in these difficult times.
Who else on the public stage has that sort of consideration for regular people?
Thats why I want Palin to run: her servants heart is not conditional its consistent and rooted in Christ not a party, corporation or trend. She is real, and we need a real person to deal with the real problems we face.
Make sure to see The Undefeated, join Organize 4 Palin in your state, get literature to distribute and encourage people to see the film! Lets get ready to kick Barry Soetoros scrawny butt out of office in 2012!
Either that or “The Roots of Obama’s Rage”
cops and lawyers do not serve. In fact if you have ever been on a jury you are asked if you are related to, or good friends with, any leos or officers of the court. If you are, that is it for you, you are promptly told you are excused.
I was responding to your comment by explaining how it works, period. You or I cannot just ignore a Jury Summons.
Again, what's your point besides being rude? Now I have an ulterior motive and I am paranoid for questioning you about your comment?
Your pity is not necessary my FRiend.
Actually, I don't know how it is in other states, but in CA all you have to do is not show up. They very seldom call you on it and if they do you simply say you didn't get the notice in the mail. I have never done this but I know quite a few people who have done it and still do it. There have never been any consequences to any of them.
>> “Lawyers serve, Cops serve, spouses of Cops serve” <<
.
Not too sure about that.
I have been called for jury duty numeroud times, but have never served, I get eliminated in the first round because I have too many friends that are cops, judges, and lawyers
How about “Obama Zombies”? LOL
Thank you. Thomas Jefferson has now been added to the list.
This is an ongoing list of historical, popular, and Biblical people; fictional characters, as well as animals that Sarah Palin () has been compared to on FR:
In Alaska, you are call for an entire month. In Orange County CA where I live, you are either on call for a week or you are told to report. If you are not seated on a Jury the first day, they excuse you for at least a years time before you can be called back.
Basically, you show up and sit around until they call you to a Court Room to be seated on a panel. If the Jurors for that particular case are picked before the Judge calls you to sit in the Jury Box to be interviewed, you go back to the Jury Pool. If you make it to the Jury Box and are then excused, you go back to the Jury Pool.
If you ignore the Jury Summons, you can be found in Contempt of Court, but I don't know if they actually track people down if they don't report.
I never get this many replies to my comments. I must have touched a nerve or a lot of people here don't care to serve on a Jury.
Don't know why though, you get paid $15 a day plus one way mileage. Sounds like an Obama Stimulus Plan to me.
Hey, you left Kickass Conservative off that list!
Jesus H. Christ in a sidecar! Please get a grip!
Glad to see Golda Meir made the list.
As a Zionist, you know that Israel will have no better friend than President Sarah Palin.
No one can know that for sure, however, it’s still her civic duty and maybe it’s her inherent sense of patriotism to do her job as a citizen.

Jesus H. Christ in a side car?
Silly—the disciples and Jesus were all in one Accord.
The thing about human history is that it connects people to each other. Here, we all (should) know who Daniel Boone is and what makes him a hero in America’s eyes. I can think of several people in my life who have his simple honesty, toughness and self-sufficiency. Same with Queen Esther. So I’m not sure why it matters who or how many people she reminds people of. I’m betting people here can come up with historical people that remind them of Ronald Reagan, Neil Armstrong, or any other person they admire. It’s a description. People identify with her because she’s more one of us than most other politicians. Most don’t allow the kind of openness into their lives as she has.
Cindie
I'm just saying words, and you fell for it.
Because saying words is FAR less extreme than actually AWARDING the Nobel Peace Prize to Teh One on the basis of how awesome he was going to be; the more ironic given the kinetic military action in Libya and the failure to get us out of Afghanistan and Iraq "immediately"...
So the verbal technique works as I planned.
I intend to spring it on some liberals.
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!
In Alameda County (CA) they’ll notify you of your summons. You call the night before the summons and they’ll let you know if they need you for that morning’s roll call. If you’re not called that morning, then check for the afternoon roll call. If not for the afternoon, then you are done and the Court thanks you for your service. Until next time.
In my area you are dumped completely if you are related too, are one yourself or are good friends of LEOs or officers of the court. They ask you a qualifying question: Would you let this relationship affect your verdict in this case? Regardless of how you answer, they send you away until the next time your name comes up on the jury pool, at which time you go through the whole rigmarole again.
In my county (majority of residents are ex-cons) I answered husband ex-law enforcement, ex-husband ex-law enforcement, son ex-law enforcement, step-son current law enforcement. They asked me if any of my friends were law enforcement. I said yes, good friend’s husband was. Asked me if we talked about current events, I replied yes. They seated me on the jury. Guess they were desperate.
Not all cases are criminal. Not long after I left law enforcement I was called for jury duty and did serve on a jury in a civil case. In a criminal case, I would have been excused by mutual agreement of counsel.
THAT was a truly great comeback. I award you sir, 10 Palin points!
You know, I really think she could be the Babe Ruth of this campaign season... Reminds me of an Alaskan Indiana Jones. She has the wisdom personified by Yoda, the fighting spirit of Bruce Lee and Mr. Myagi combined and philosophy that would make Plato and Socrates blush. Certainly her books have inspired more people than “The Republic” and have had a greater societal impact than any aspect of Greek culture and knowledge. I also think that she has a very Rhett Butler’esque attitude regarding her detractors in that she just doesn’t give a damn.
On Judgement Day 2012, she will stand astride DC like an Angel of God blowing the horn of destruction at the Democrat party. You know, when you get right down to it, the English language just doesn’t contain enough words to adequately describe her true impact on history. EveningStar can keep his list, and he might not say it in public, but when you get right down to it, he knows in his heart of hearts that she is undoubtedly the single most important person to stride the earth since Jesus Christ... and certainly on that we all agree.
;)
Great report. I do so hope that the movie comes to my region soon.
