The global warming debate has always been a touchy one for both sides, and when the world’s top global warming activist is talking about the size of population and how that contributes to the choices societies make, it might be worth taking note.
In an appearance Monday in New York City, former Vice President Al Gore, prominently known for his climate change activism, took on the subject of population size and the role of society in controlling it to reduce pollution.
He offered some ideas about what might be done for females in the name of stabilizing population growth. (h/t Chris Horner via wattsupwiththat.com)
“One of the things we could do about it is to change the technologies, to put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population, and one of the principle ways of doing that is to empower and educate girls and women,” Gore said. “You have to have ubiquitous availability of fertility management so women can choose how many children have, the spacing of the children.
“You have to lift child survival rates so that parents feel comfortable having small families and most important — you have to educate girls and empower women,” he said. “And that’s the most powerful leveraging factor, and when that happens, then the population begins to stabilize and societies begin to make better choices and more balanced choices.”

He should stick to promoting that in the third world. Those people breed like friggin’ rabbits.
The sex poodle wants others to stop doing the deed? Is he really the best spokesperson?
There are the reproductive panels in the healthcare bill that will take care of this.
If people quit having children, who do the liberals think are going to pay for Social Security, Medicare, and the massive federal debt?

Al Gore, Why not kill or abort all Gods children? How about you start with your own kids, then talk to me.

I hereby promote fewer Gores in order to curb unrestrained douchedom.
I was reading his lengthy Rolling Stone article. A mass of left wing propoganda, according to him, everything in the World points only toward what Gore wants done.
The most frightening is he sees every aspect of society which disagrees with him to be a powerful, unfair conspiracy. Somehow, every politician, scientist or person who dissents from his view is misusing free speech, the political system, lobbying, media, etc.
And then he claims they are the ones who can’t just participate in honest debate!
But....every child is a potential vote?? Doesn’t he want them to be counted?? Guess not!!
So we should stop having children. The results will be that the poverty-stricken areas of the world and the Islamists will continue to have multiple families with multiple offspring; in only a generation or two, we will be so out-numbered that our offspring will not have a chance.
I almost seems as though Gore sees children themselves as pollution.
He wants parents to be confident their kids will survive, so they will have fewer kids.
OK, so he can’t do the math to figure out if you have one kid who lives to be 80, they have an impact on the Earth similar to four kids who died by age 20?
There really is one overriding point about Al Gore. He is not remotely qualified to reach conclusions on ANY of the subjects he addresses. Yet he addresses every subject.
Too bad Al’s folks didn’t think of this.
