The meats were like a bad joke gone bad. $7-10 for a small package of chicken breasts. I got enough food for a week and it was $107. The cashier lady told me some woman (when she noticed) milk at $4 a gallon asked if there was s milk shortage. Are people this stupid?
I am truly afraid for this country in so many ways and as the cashier lady said she told the ditz lady it will get far worse before it gets better. And the cashier was in her 20's and she figured this out- so there is some hope this age group knows to vote out Impeach Obama NOW!
$2.63/gallon at Sam’s in Aurora, CO yesterday.
Just noticed your tagline. First time I’ve seen this. I’ve always figured that’s where they went but the public doesn’t get it.
My wife has started serious coupon-clipping and is saving a significant amount of money.
Know the area. My mother grew up on the iron range. Hibbing, Superior, etc. She went to High School in Duluth. All of the relatives from Duluth are gone now, but I liked the area.
Bacon is rediculous and it will not stay that high. Hogs reproduce so fast that before long there will be a glut again. The issue is feed cost. All grains are high, in tight supply and of course ADM, Continental and Cargill “own” the grain market.
Matchbox cars are Wal-Mart are now $1.11. That is a 10% increase. Now I know matchbox cars aren’t essential items (except to my grandson) but if all prices increase by 10% that’s gonna be a huge bite out of your budget.
The alligators at the U.S.S. NC are living good and fat LOL.I live in a small farm town not far from ILM. I have chickens and brown eggs and pay $5 a carton for smokes and about fell over when I saw a regular pck of cigarettes (even in NC) was almost $5 a pack. I roll so I pay $5 a carton.
Imagine how bad it would have been without Obama, Stimulus, TARP, Cash-for-Clunkers, Hope, Change, ObamaCare, and the rapid transition to socialism. If a republican (or McCain) was in office, we might have inflation in addition to the rising prices of all consumer goods. [Pay no attention to the possibility that socialism is causing our problems, Obama says he’s not the problem, and he’s the smartest man ever. Anyone who says different is just racist.]
This is a bizarre response from you to be calling us all liars about how much we pay for milk, but your ad does not tell us what the store brand gallon of milk is when you buy two, which on Friday was either $2.79 or $2.89 a gallon, that is why I don’t buy my milk there, it is too expensive, I buy my milk at $2.49 a gallon, which I did on Friday at Smart and Final.
A gallon of milk is $1.99 at Price Rite in NY. That’s the price all the time. Aldi also has comparable prices.
Can't help you with the peanuts, but I have noticed that Walmart isn't keeping their shelves stocked like they used to. Several weeks in a row now I've had problems finding food products that I've bought regularly from them. I don't know if they have cut back on what they order, or if they're not able to get what they have ordered.
At least someone got a raise. Of course, those on minimum wage are basically working for gas money.
As a matter of fact, YES! On the rare occasions we buy junk food I now avoid Walmart entirely because it tastes like cardboard. I've definitely noticed this at McDonalds too... it was so bad that we complained to their management.
There’s no shortage of milk, or chicken, or gasoline.
There is, however, a huge surplus of dollars, compliments of Helicopter Ben and the Federal Reserve.
With all of those freshly (figurative printed, that is) dollars and food stamps in circulation, is it any wonder that they are being used to bid up the prices of food and other consumer goods?
I don’t buy milk as another member of the house gets it delivered from a local dairy. And my local chain grocery restructured their dairy prices so that they are now lower than Wal-Mart (less than $2 for a big carton of full-fat, unsweetened yogurt and $3 for a pound of really good cheese). But chicken has gone up, and I only buy cut up fryers. Grass fed beef is not cheap and fresh, wild fish is now a once a week treat. Winter produce is another story. Can’t wait for June when the farmer’s markets are in full swing.
I blow 5 to 600 a month out of the tail pipe of a station wagon driving the same number of miles.4000 is about right plus road taxes.(ifta)
My grocery store carries gallon containers of milk that are “WIC Approved.” I’ve been paying under $2 for them. I used to buy organic milk in cartons, but it’s now around $4. When the price of butter skyrocketed a month or so ago, the store also started carrying a no-name butter. Regular butter went to between $4-$5 dollars. The no-name is $2.99. I stocked up and have a lot frozen. Almost all the meat I buy is from the “clearance” section and I stock my freezer with it. I haven’t seen chicken on sale for under a dollar per pound for over a year. I’m about 30 miles from a grocery store so I don’t go very often. It becomes noticeable when prices raise between visits- not so much the frog in the pot. I was shocked to find butter that was under $3 had gone up $0.50 between visits a few weeks ago.
But high prices keep YOU people from participating in excessive lifestyles. That’s good because it saves the planet and besides...the world has to be equal!/s
The GOP-RNC has proven to be too dumb to survive. Only evidence needed,,,Juan McLame as their last prez nominee.
The moral majority here in Wisconsin did manage to have an awesome election result in November. We got a real conservative grassroots Senator, Ron Johnson (who defeated Russ Feingold, who thought he was a “lifer” in the Senate), we gained control of the State Gov’t, and elected conservative Scott Walker as Gov. It was a miracle.
The libtards are still going nuts. And yes, they are pulling every dirty trick in the book to prevent our elected officials from doing what we want them to do.
Right now, one hack liberal judge is still holding the “budget fix” law hostage because it takes away union power in WI State gov’t. One tyrannical judge. Liberals never give up. The GOP should learn to be that way instead of the wimps they are.
