Veganism: The Progressive’s Diet of Doom

Periodically the Marxist-media drags out a gaggle of air-headed pseudo-“celebrities” and idiot doctors who extol the marvels of a vegan diet, a diet in which no animal products are consumed. Generally, such articles proclaim the wondrous health benefits and the ethical superiority of Veganism, without explaining its inherent dangers.

Well people a vegan diet is utter insanity. The human animal has extended canine teeth for a reason: it’s a requirement for us to eat meat in order to stay alive! Human animals must eat meat because we’d die without the vitamin B-12 obtained from eating animals or animal products. In nature, that’s the only way we can obtain B-12. Period.

Vitamin B-12 is far different than other vitamins. It’s a gigantic molecule that has a single atom of cobalt at its center, and in fact the chemical name for vitamin B-12 is cobalamin. In nature, vitamin B-12 is made only by bacteria, and it works its way up the food chain, starting somewhere along the line with bacterial symbiosis. Because only bacteria can capture cobalt from the environment and fix it in organic form, all living animals are dependent for their existence on cobalt-fixing bacteria.

Healthy adults who have eaten animal products all their life will have about a 10 year supply of B-12 stored in their liver. After that gets used up, say, while on a vegan diet or from pernicious anemia or other mal-absorption syndrome, they die.

Unfortunately, children don’t have this reserve, so feeding a child a vegan diet is criminal negligence since such a diet will lead to the child’s death from B-12 deficiency and is thus tantamount to murder. Period...

I have noticed that many celebrities claim to have, or have had, some kind of eating disorder.

I highly recommend, Lierre Keith’s book, The Vegetarian Myth. Lierre was a dedicated vegetarian from high school and she details the progressive destruction of her health because of it; as well as her difficult journey to return to a normal human diet. She still has a few wacky ideas, but overall this is an amazingly honest look at the reality behind vegetarianism. If you have vegans in your family, this is a great book to arm yourself against their evangelical attempts to get you to join them.

Gee, if I had stayed on my meat based diet and let my canines just dig into that murdered animal I would look like a lot of the people that I see walking on the street. So over 20 years ago I switched to vegetarian diet then went VEGAN a few years back. Now I’m not an expert but when my doctor did a recent blood group workup on me due to a history of prostrate cancer in the family (I’m 58)he came back to me telling me that I not only had fantastic numbers but that I was healthier than most of his patients. He believes that it not only helped me to loose 60 pounds it also helped me maintain the healthy level that I’m at. Now I can’t speak for other Vegans, some of whom are smelly leftists, however, speaking for myself, I know that I am in good physical condition. No I’m not Mr. Muscle, I do still have a few extra pounds. The rest of my family is constantly sick, malnourished, are cancer survivors (cousin is, brother still fighting it) and in a generally reduced physical condition. They constantly tell me that they can’t go without some type of meat, I tell them enjoy it what have you got to loose anyway, your life. My dogs are even VEGANS and the vet can’t believe the excellent condition that they are in. I get plenty of B-12 just from Soy Protien alone plus the other vegetables that I eat. I grow my own food organically and no I do not use manure as it is derived from an animal source. So go ahead and flame on when I say that you are murderers for eating animals. By the by, I’ve voted REPUBLICAN in every election since Milhouse.

If you equate animal life with human life, you are not a true adult. You are a child.

Certainly you can do better than that. Let me guess, you consider yourself at the top of the food chain.

It's Walt Disney's fault. He's the SOB that made animals talk on TV and the movies. Now a large percentage of the populace actually thinks they're human. Sheesh...

"...Seafood is a vegetable?...."

LOL not unless it's seaweed. Doesn't sound like much of a vegetarian diet, does it....

I believe that human life is worth infinitely more than animal or plant life. I believe anyone who thinks that animal or plant life is equivalent to human life is someone who have a very immature outlook on life and does not deal with reality in an adult manner.

Without plant or animal life your life is worth about as much as Bin Ladens. As far as your view that non-human life is less than human life is just immaturity, I feel sorry for you.

My ancestors (most of them) left Africa by walking down the beach 150,000 or so years ago. Over time they mutated and through natural selection acquired a few new useful characteristics. Examples:

They ate a lot of fish and seafood. They could easily get plenty of food by catching fish in the shallows and digging up clams, crabs, etc. In fact, so much that they developed a requirement for extra lithium that seawater and seafood provided. Now we need a lithium supplement to stay normal.

They have a layer of fat under the skin that provided buoyancy and insulated them like seals. They could swim away from land predators.

Their noses became shaped such that water would not easily rush up the nasal passages when they swam.

The babies naturally learned to swim if placed in water.

Their skin was hairless like a seal’s to cut the drag in the water.

As they moved to Northern beaches less melanin allowed them to manufacture vitamin D in the winter and stay healthy with little sun exposure.

I told my kids, “We’re beach apes”.

Another example of recent natural selection would be the Inuit (Eskimos) who have only lived in the Arctic a few thousand years. Pureblood Inuit (not many left) have extremely efficient gall bladders for a high fat diet, short fingers/toes to escape frostbite, and outstanding distance vision to see prey far away.

“So go ahead and flame on when I say that you are murderers for eating animals”

Is it murder to kill a rat, mouse, cockroach, housefly, flea, tick, mosquito or other blood-sucking disease-ridden parasite?

Judge for yourself.

BS, you have already judged everyone who does not follow your style of eating, assuming of course that you are telling the truth about your diet and health. Since most strict vegans are NOT healthy it leaves your little story in considerable doubt. It also makes you a self righteous pr**K to say people commit murder when they eat animals. Top of the food chain? You bet your carrot chewing ass we are.

I see that you are a pompous a$$ in your responce. Do not dare call me a liar, especially if you do not know me. I do not care how you look at it as I consider it murder to kill any animal for food. Go swim in shark infested waters and we will see how long you remain at the top of the food chain. If you consider me a “self righteous P***K” for my thoughts than that is how you feel. If you had read my initial comment, you will read that I am in very good health and your knowledge of VEGANS is extremely limited.

Vitamin B-12 can be supplemented.

From Wikipedia "Vitamin B12 is provided as a supplement in many processed foods, and is also available in vitamin pill form, including multi-vitamins. Vitamin B12 can be supplemented in healthy subjects also by liquid, transdermal patch, nasal spray, or injection and is available singly or in combination with other supplements.

The posted article is attempting to needlessly scare people.

"....I do not care how you look at it as I consider it murder to kill any animal for food....."

Have you ever taken an apple from its tree and bit into it....?

Do you not know that an apple has just as much breath of Life in it as an animal that is slaughtered....?

Therefore: whether you bite into that apple, or piece of chicken for that matter....say a prayer to the Giver of all Life; for Life begets Life.
