The release yesterday of the apparent long-form birth certificate for President Barack H. Obama has done little to settle the debate on Obama’s citizenship, and has raised further questions varying from whether the document is authentic and whether it might show that Obama is not a natural-born citizen.
The “Certificate of Live Birth” looks like a photocopy of a page in a bound ledger, and conforms in most respects to the forms of other “Certificates of Live Birth” issued in that same year. The best example of a Hawaiian long-form certificate available for examination is a pair of certificates for Susan and Gretchen Nordyke, born at Kapi’olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital on August 5, 1961. (Note: earlier reports that the Obama certificate mis-named the hospital are unfounded. The Nordyke twins’ certificates name that same hospital. The original Kapi’olani Maternity Home, that Queen Kapiolani founded in 1890, carried that name in 1961 and would continue to carry it until 1978, when it merged with Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital to form the present Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children.)
But within the past twenty-four hours, many observers have examined the PDF file that the White House released, and have raised questions that seriously challenge its authenticity:

But aside from that, this long-form document, if authentic, clearly indicates that Obama's father was born outside the USA. No one has ever alleged that Obama Senior obtained naturalization, or even was present on American soil while his then-wife gave birth.....

The historical meaning of “natural born citizen” (the meaning understood by the writers of the Constitution) is a child born to parents both of whom are citizens. BO, with a Kenyan father, does not meet that requirement.
However, the MSM, academia, the judiciary, the whole of the dominant elite in this country will go to whatever length is necessary to prevent this from becoming an issue.
A FReeper here also affirmed the name of the hospital at the time.
Just wondering: Why did Obama even bother to request a long form birth certificate from Hawaii in the first place?
Did he, the President of the United States, simply get careless and lose his own copy sometime in the near past, say, when he was moving from one house to another house?
Did he ever have a long form birth certificate?
If Obama lost his own copy of his long form, I wonder when he lost it.
Maybe Obama lost it in 2007 or earlier, because that is the date stamped on the back of Obama's short form birth certificate that we see at the FactCheck website.
Myself, I find it difficult to believe that the President of the United States would be so careless as to lose his long form birth certificate, or that Obama never had a copy of his long form birth certificate in the first place.
Yes, if "historical" means since Obama became President: before that, it was understood to mean somebody born in the US, regardless of the parents' nationality, or born anywhere with at least one US citizen parent.
I take it then you consider ‘anchor babies’ to be natural born citizens, eligible to become a US President?
Is it a crime to say something is typewritten when it’s not?
In comparing the .gov file side by side with the Nordyke 10637 .gif file, the gov file seems to be computer generated to look like it was typewritten.
The gif file however looks like it was actually typewritten.
A real typewritten document has a majority its characters lined neatly on the left side.
Aside from lining up on the left margin, it also has characters that line up on one or more tab stops.
The Nordyke image is undoubtedly real.
The gov image is obviously fake.
The gov file has what looks like centered fields as in a word processor and looks nothing like a real typewritten doc.
Am I missing something here?
Perhaps they didn’t know how a real typewriter works, that would be my guess.
They might have known about the carriage return bar but I doubt they would know about the ‘TabSet” key.

You are ignoring the distinction between a ‘natural born’ American citizen and an American citizen (which ‘anchor babies’ are).
It would seem you are correct on the anchor babies according to law, which I find surprising - but laws are often not logical.
And the thing they just put on the internet is an abstract, not a long form birth certificate.
Should have said - the thing that is purported to be a whatever it is.
