One day soon we'll look back on April 27, 2011 as an important day. Right now liberals think we'll remember it as the day that Obama put the lie to the birthers, but they're wrong. I think we'll remember it as the day Obama's presidency died.
Right now, Obama and the left, along with their lapdogs in the MSM, think they've outsmarted the birthers, and that they've engaged in a brilliant game of political brinksmanship. They're thinking that the birthers have shown themselves to be the fruits and nuts of the right, and they made all this hubbub about what was, after all, nothing really. Just a document... like any other American birth certificate.
They're wrong. For two reasons...

right - and like I posted back you in those other threads I have a background in tech and marketing, and that’s what I post about. As you’ve pointed out, I haven’t posted much since I joined (because I only post on what I can back up), so please, anyone interested, go through my posts (as LJ noted, it shouldn’t take long), and see if you can find anything “tacitly supporting Muslims/Islam”. I don’t think you’ll find anything.

Picture a campaign commercial for the GOP candidate of your choice, showing a picture of Obama's birth certificate, and then a picture of LTC Terry Lakin in his Class A's, and then a picture of him in his prison uniform and handcuffs, an announcer mentioning that careers have been ruined, lives altered, and at least one man PUT IN MILITARY PRISON because of Obama's whimsical refusal to release this document. "Obama - listening to billionaires, but ignoring honorable soldiers."
Watch how the late night comedians handle the birth certificate issue. At every occasion they turn it into a joke, to the point where swing voters aren't going to take it seriously. Such an ad would just fly past people. Lakin is going to be released next month. I can certainly feel sympathy for him, but given what military discipline demands, did he really expect that his case would end up differently?
According to media reports, Hawaii officials claimed it had been destroyed in a fire (edited) in Hawaii, and then Governor Abercrombie said his search for it in the public database came up empty... and now it pops up on Monday morning TV in an official press release from the White House. Where did it come from, and where was it when the White House said it had been destroyed?
The problem here is that it's hard to separate out what we know to be true from what's just rumor. Certainly the mainstream media isn't going to do that, so things like this just remain part of the sea or stew of rumors, rather than proven facts for most people. Some day somebody may authoritatively sort out who said what and when, but not in time for the next election.

(3) The only people I have heard refer to other men as ‘giant D-bags’ were homosexuals. How does that make me a homosexual?
(4) I’ve been a member of FR for over ten years. Why are you the first poster I ever encountered who called someone a ‘D-bag’ in the the comments section?
(5) What makes you so nasty, that almost every time you post to me your insults get more personal and vile?

You posted directly to me on this thread when I not only didn't post to you, but didn't even know you were here. Is there something in your fingers that just compels you to include "Bruce Campbells Chin" in your "to" line? Is it a form of typing Tourette's or something else involuntary?
As for length of membership, I had to change my screenname from "XJarhead" after something happened that corrupted the password, and JimRob couldn't fix the problem. So, new screenname, though I've been posting on FR since 1998. Although length of time posting on a message board isn't something I generally consider resume-worthy, I suppose others might have a fair bit of their ego invested in that.
Simple solution to all our problems. You don't include me in your "to" line, and I won't include you in mine. Deal?

I have never uttered a personal insult toward you. Last I checked, that’s not encouraged behavior. Or is there a special rule I don’t know about, that when you insult me, that’s okay?
Well, I didn’t call you a “homosexual headcase”. However, I will gladly apologise for that and any other offense. We can then proceed to have permanent amnesia with regards to each others’ screennames, until de Vattel rises from the grave or the Republic ends, whichever comes first.
If you are really an ex-Marine, you have tarnished my image of the corps. I picture Marines as honorable and honest. Now I see them as people who talk about other people’s ‘community’ and ‘orientation’ yet deny they’re calling them homosexuals; they tell them they’re late for ‘electroshock therapy’ but deny they’re calling them a headcase.
People are people. The Marines improve many a man. But people are people. Generalizations don’t even work with Generals, much less any one else.
