Democrats love Planned Parenthood so much they were willing to shut down the entire U.S. government over planned cuts to the organization.
If given a choice, they would rather give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood than pay the men and women who serve America's military.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid drew a line in the sand Friday morning while speaking from the floor of the United States Senate:
Im not going to be part of that. I wont do it, he said about efforts to cut Planned Parenthood funding on the part of House Republicans.
Nancy Pelosi claimed the GOP is at war with women, and Louise Slaughter compared Republicans to Nazis.
Democrats like to claim that Planned Parenthood is the greatest thing since the invention of the cotton gin. Listening to Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media, one would think that were it not for Planned Parenthood, women would have absolutely no health care whatsoever.
MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell broke out in tears on national television while discussing the possibility that his beloved Planned Parenthood might be defunded. The Huffington Post reports that after attacking Republican Senator Jon Kyl:
O'Donnell then turned to an email which he said came from a friend of his who used Planned Parenthood. He read the email out from his Blackberry, and as he did so, his hands, and his voice, started shaking with emotion. The friend's email recounted her dire financial straits and history of medical illnesses. Planned Parenthood, she wrote, was the place she went for her birth control and her cancer screenings, and through them, she said, she was able to get multiple mammograms.

The highly publicized occurrences of babies born deformed by thalidomide brought about the emotionally charged (and falsely created) Roe v. Wade trial. It was great opportunity for liberals to capitalize on an issue and coin the phrase "A woman's right to Choose" in order to snare a huge block of voters who would help them push other issues.
Since Roe V. Wade over 50 million babied have been killed both in and out of the womb. This began 40 years ago so many of those babies would already have given birth to children who would be replenishing our productive population. With them engaged in our economy we might not be facing the eminent collapse of Social Security and medicare ( at least not so soon).
Additionally, the power given to liberals through the 'right to choose' voting block has helped bring about affirmative action, repressive environmental regulations, prohibition against our own energy resources and a myriad of non productive social experiments that degrade our culture and drain the economy.
You left the “C” out of your name equivicator. Whatever I think about abortion, it certainly doesn’t belong under the purview of the FedGov and belongs on a state by state basis. You are then free to live in whatever state reflects your beliefs.

To Baynative:
I believe that all of what you’ve just said is true and that it comes from knowing the facts. In my mind, you are not a right wing “extremist”.
And I choose to think of "abortion" as murdering of unborn children because my God told me that is what it is. Even if the government "blesses" this activity by removing criminal punishment for it, that does not change the fact that it is still murder.
You can't say a dog has 5 legs if you claim the tail is a leg. Regardless of such a claim, a tail is not a leg.
“And I choose to think of “abortion” as murdering of unborn children because my God told me that is what it is.”...
Of course you do. No one is disputing that or trying to talk you out of it.
Recently, California Rep. Jackie Speier stood on the floor of congress and told of paying someone to kill the baby living in her womb. She was praised a a brave hero by the liberal media.
It’s a cow with two teats: one, it supports ‘em; two, it has appeal as a “cause” - a moral issue. In other words, power junkies can get ahead by pimping women and sacrificing babies. To them, abortion is made in heaven.
The Democrats don’t want to kill children. They just want to kill the children they don’t like. When you understand that, then you understand Democrats. They’re even worse than you thought.
if it were politically expedient and profitable (am I being redundant here?) to kill puppies, that would be the big "right" that our founders sacrificed to bequeath us.
When the time comes that it makes more sense to kill adults -- certain ones, of course -- theyll do that with just as much fervor.
This is it, FRiends and neighbors: this is as enlightened as the human race gets. It's all downhill from here.
What kills me is this myth that “women” won’t have anyplace to go go get their contraception.
Contraception is available at any medical clinic and most hospitals. These places also serve the poor.
There are even charitable groups that have invested in mobile medical units (converted buses) that travel to low income neighborhoods. These groups deserve funding.
There is group that won’t have easy access however...minors. If PP clinics shut down - they are usually within walking distance of your local high school. Young girls will have a harder time signing out of study hall and getting their abortions and pills without mom and dad knowing.
Well said!
There stands in their midst a bronze statue of Kronos, its hands extended over a bronze brazier, the flames of which engulf the child. When the flames fall upon the body, the limbs contract and the open mouth seems almost to be laughing until the contracted body slips quietly into the brazier.
“To them, abortion is made in heaven.”
Forty years or so ago, did the powers-that-be know or even imagine that NYC’s black population would be aborting so many pregnancies? What is it, 60 percent or more?
Knowing that, I have to wonder whether such consequences were/are intentional or not and if so, I would also tend to believe that some right wing “extremists” are/were in favor of such consequences, which may explain why abortion is still legal.
To a liberal every social program is nothing more than buying votes.
Anti Planned Parenthood Ping
re: “To call abortion murder is like calling second hand smoke a weapon.”
The only way your statement could be legitimate is if you de-humanize the unborn child.
You demonstrated this in your post when you later referred to an abortion as simply “terminating a pregnancy”.
Abortion is the violent killing of a completely helpless human being - if that is not murder then I guess one could define murder as anything one wants.
I understand that it is uncomfortable for some to call abortion for what it is because of the implications that follows on those people you know who have had abortions - you don’t want to call them murderers, but unfortunately thats what they are whether you “chose” to define it that way or not.
That’s one of the reasons this whole hellish practice must be stopped. Cultures which practice child sacrifice don’t think of it as murder either, but that is what it is. Right and Wrong are not personal preferences else they become meaningless.
I’m sure you will define my view as extreme, but look at what abortion does to the unborn child - have you seen what that looks like? After viewing the results of an abortion, you tell me - who is the true “extremist”?
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting" Romans 1:28
The Dems don't give a damn about "women's health"; it is all about the money. It is always about the money.
“To a liberal every social program is nothing more than buying votes.”
Giving back to the community in so many ways...So many ways other than lowering taxes.
“County Commissioners” in SE Michigan (Macomb) are well on their way to bringing about “fundamental change”.
