Donald Trumps Obama

Before we know it 2012 will be here, and I can't wait! I have a new hero who has been called many things – "The Donald," entrepreneur, real estate tycoon. I call him SMART. I watched his interview with Bill O'Reilly just this week, and I was blown away. He is exactly what this country needs, and my fingers are crossed hoping he officially decides to run for president in 2012.

When I first heard he wanted to run, I was extremely skeptical. Considering how vapid and shallow the Trump-led Miss USA Organization is, without a talent portion and basing most of its scores on looks, I was on the fence about him. I thought to myself, "No way is this guy serious." He's portrayed as cruel and heartless on "The Apprentice." How could this guy compete with the heavyweights? During the interview with O'Reilly, I realized he could actually turn this country around and give us the hope Obama couldn't deliver.

People assume Trump is all talk, but he has walked the walk. Maybe not for the country just yet, but for his company and his brand he has been successful at nearly everything. He isn't just some shlub celebrity that spouts off at the mouth every chance he gets. Sure, he and Rosie O'Donnell had their words, but that woman had it coming. He's educated; he's a businessman with his mindset on making the United States great again – and I believe he could.

"We take care of everyone else but our own," Trump explained to O'Reilly. He's absolutely right. We aren't the first thing on Obama's to-do list. He has to golf, play basketball, kiss China's behind, invade Libya, go vacationing.....

I like the fact that Trump doesn't disrespect Palin like some other Republican.

Trump is an opportunist, anti-2nd Amendment potential Fascist. Seriously. He has used the power of the state (eminent domain) to claim the property of others’ in order to build his empire. Screw him.

Seems like all his companies go bankrupt. He's probably the perfect man for the times.

If Trump were elected it would be the national version of Jesse Ventura’s election as Governor of Minnesota. It didn’t work there and it won’t work here. Yes, sometimes the idea of a character who might fit into the WWF might seem like brilliance, particularly late at night with your drinking buddies. But in the real world, a President should have some credentials as a leader. And maybe some political philosophy to guide his thinking would be good. Sure, the Donald would have the most fabulous decorators doing the White House. And his parties would be spectacular. First class. Super. Fabulous.

But the price, our country would be led by a goof with no understanding of the country, our position in the world, the proper use of the military, the Constitution, free markets, etc.

Look at his voting and political contribution record. Enough said.

I lost a LOT of confidence in Palin when she referred to this issue as a “distraction”.

It’s one thing to strategically stay under the wire on it,
but for her to come out and alienate that much of her base, while demonstrating that she has been duped like so many others suggests to me she simply doesn’t have what it takes.

I think our next president needs to have a real pair of steel grade balls to effectively deal with the problems we’ll face thanks to Obama and pals... otherwise we can expect another one just like him in 2016.

If Trump wants to be a real man then let him use his media spotlight to challenge the media as to what Obama’s real legal name is.

Forget being a birther for a minute and become a namer.

It is a known fact that Obama went to school registered as an Indonesian citizen named Barry Soetoro.

Have the DNC, the left-wing media, and the Obama administration publically explain this all before the 2012 election. Was Obama adopted? Was his name and citizenship status changed? Did he ever legally change his name back to Obama or just do it on his own illegally? Why has he used false social security numbers?

If Trump is man he will show the video of Chuck Shumer demanding that McCain relaese all of his past records if he wants to run for President and demand now that Obama do what his own party has demanded and come clean as to his past.

Trump would be a hero if he would for real demand that ALL of these questions be answered.

I’ve never been a big fan of his before, but he’s taking a stand right now when almost no one else is.

“Anyone remember this guy?”

Sadly, I don’t think anyone actually wants to remember, because much of what he predicted came true. But I don’t think that he would have been a good President, and I’m sure a lot of people here just hate him because he “caused” Clinton.

His Wikipedia entry has some really interesting quotes.

“But the price, our country would be led by a goof with no understanding of the country, our position in the world, the proper use of the military, the Constitution, free markets, etc.”

That is a spot on description of Obama, not Trump. He is brash but he is smart. He knows business, he knows how to make money and he knows how create jobs. He has dealt with unions his whole career. He has been in the construction business in NYC for a long time, so you know he has had to deal with some pretty tough customers. The guy is a CEO who has led his company’s and is comfortable making tough decisions. He is a tough negotiator and a deal maker. Isn’t that what a president is supposed to be, especially in these economic times? Whether it is making deals with Congress or another country his experience and skills would be invaluable. He may be just what this country needs at this time. I know he has contributed to both parties and is shaky on some conservative social issues, but none of these candidates will be perfect. The guy has a lot going for him and is not afraid to fight the fight against Obama. That will be worth the price of admission! I will be watching him closely.

I’m on Team ‘Anyone-Opposing-0bama” and will vote for whoever the candidate is that’s running against him in the general election.

I’m not a Republican so I don’t get to vote in my state’s primary.

As a businessman most of his political support has been to major Democrat figures, and a few Republicans. He has zero track record espousing conservative principles till just recently. His statements on the Middle East are barely coherent. I believe he has a strong position in favor of abortion. What is his opinion on eminent domain?

Of the many business successes in this country he is far from the most impressive. He does not exhibit serious knowledge of world affairs or the Constitution. He displays a lot of bluster. He values marketing and money and prestige and trophy wives. He loves money. He likes lavish displays of money. He loves himself.

I like what this guy is saying, especially on the birther issue, but I don’t think I would trust him as POTUS. Of course, if he’s our nominee, there is no choice but to vote for him.

He has financially supported lots of Dems and RINOs, including Rahm Emmanuel. His excuse for supporting Rahm is that Rahm’s brother Ari is his agent and there is no chance of a Repub being elected mayor of Chicago anyway.

Trump was also very critical of the Bush and the Iraq war. I remember a particular appearance he made of Larry King in I think 2008 or 2009 when he showed complete ignorance of the fact that the “surge” had succeeded in Iraq. He insisted that as soon as the troops were pulled, the country would go into civil war. Of course, King never set him straight on it, cause he was ignorant about the success of the strategy too.

At that time, Trump was not even thinking about running for POTUS, but I remember thinking that if this guy is so willing to shoot his mouth off about a subject he was so ignorant about, he would not make a very good leader. To this day, I don’t know where he stands on Iraq, but hopefully he’s been informed by now that the country has been stabilized.

As I said, I don’t think I could ever trust this guy. I think he would govern very much like Jesse Ventura, and if he did that while wearing the GOP label, it could ruin our brand for years.
