Donald Trump—Birther Party Candidate for President? (Chuck tries to put toothpaste back in tube)
Gather ^ | March 28, 2011 | Chuck Larlham

Posted on 03/28/2011 5:50:24 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Donald Trump, unlikely as it may seem, appears to be about to run for Presidency of the USA. Unfortunately, he appears about to become the standard-bearer... of the Birther Party ticket. The Donald, having dropped a casual comment about his doubts as to President Obama's origin, has, according to him, been inundated with "information" that has him "really concerned" about the President's true birthplace.

The "information" has apparently only been offered by birther believers and websites, and Mr. Trump has evidently made no effort to investigate on his own (and with his money, it would seem The Donald could hire the world's best investigators). He has said that "no one remembers" Obama as a child; an untrue statement given the interviews with teachers early in the campaign, as well as others who did remember him; and that no doctors or nurses remember his birth, which could be true, given the relative obscurity of his family at the time, but likely isn't.

He also said, "They give you a certificate of live birth which anybody can get. Just walk into the hospital." That is also untrue. The State is required by law to verify the information on the certificate. The President's Certificate of Live Birth says that he was born in Honolulu, a verifiable fact or they wouldn't have issued it. There is also the little matter of the August 1961 birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser, an unlikely falsification for which there would be NO reason at the time.

If Donald Trump wishes to run for President of the USA, he's certainly welcome to do so. He has, after all, already gone to the trouble of providing a birth certificate to NewsMax, a bastion of news with a conservative bent. Perhaps he can get someone to believe the photos are real. In the meantime, perhaps he could do a little critical thinking and stop parroting nonsense from the birther fringe.

Students who are on or want to join Law review typically write articles in th hopes of having them published.

This is true of every law school except Harvard. Apparently at Harvard, being President of Law Review is an electoral popularity contest.

Where are Obama’s articles?

They now claim that a short unsigned pro-abortion article in HLR was written by Barry; but no one really knows if that's true.

Law Professors write articles for legal publications to maintain their faculty status. Where are Obama’s articles?

Barry was never a law professor. He was a law lecturer at University of Chicago for a while. Lecturers have no obligation to research or publish; it's a part-time gig.

Thanks. But wasn’t there something about his SS# belonging to someone else? That I thought was the controversy.

It is obvious that Mr Larlham is not much of an investigative reporter. He is just an opinion writer. If he were to be creditable he would go to Trump and ask to see the info he(Larlham) says trump is tking from birthers. I believe Trump would be glad to oblige him.

I heard him on Greta last night...I love his honesty. Even he said, I just started looking into this a few weeks ago and the more he looks the more questions.

Greta also said, that this is a losing issue and Obama will raise money off of it....The Donald, shut her down....he said do you ever look at the internet? Go to the internet and see what people are saying...I loved it!

I watch Greta but she’s a lefty. Her argument was really weak. There is really no defense for not showing the birth certificate and I think Donald is just sinking these MSM defenses of Obama in a huge way. Whether he runs for President or not Trump is doing the country a huge service. I don’t think anyone else could come out and speak this way and get away with it. I’m loving every minute of it.

Would you have any chance of knowing it if Trump were playing you for a fool?

“Barack’s mother was not able to earn enough money working in Indonesia to support Barack in Hawaii, so Barack’s grandmother assumed guardianship of Barack and requested Aid for Families with Dependent Children.”

The only problem with this explanation is:
a) AFDC requires a means test that is based on income in the household. There’s no way in Hades Dunhams could have qualified: by 1970, Madelyn Dunham was a bank VP;

b) on a related point, Obama began attending the tony (and not cheap) Punahou School while in fifth grade (1971). It would be ludicrous to imagine someone sending a child to that school even thinking about welfare assistance, much less applying for it. That is, even if the Dunhams had resorted to massive fraud to qualify Obama for AFDC payments, it’s hard to picture they would have calculated the risk was worth the “reward.” They surely were aware that Obama would have been teased mercilessly had his classmates become aware of this. Likewise, the whole point of Punahou was to prepare him for a good college, yet any college that discovered this fraud would have automatically rejected him etc.

Had not thought about that, your point is well taken.

I did not originate the senario, only found it and the pieces seemed to fit.

The AFDC side does not mean that the rest of the senario is wrong. It may be that SAD applied for the AFDC and realized that was not a good option and then turned him over to his granparents.

I have not found an explanation that really works to seperate the truth from the fiction in Obozo’s childhood story. One conclusion that is obvious, it was a case of a bounced around childhood.

What a mess.

“It may be that SAD applied for the AFDC and realized that was not a good option and then turned him over to his granparents.”

Any story involving AFDC has to account for the fact that he got turned over to grandparents in 1971, but the SSN requirement was not imposed by AFDC until 1975. For all the reasons I stated, it seems very implausible Obama would have been receiving AFDC benefits while living with grandparents in 1975. Thus, it’s unlikely that the 1975 SSN requirement imposed by AFDC would have been the “trigger” leading to his procuring a CT-based SSN.

Your logic seems sound on the AFDC.

What is your explanation for the CT SSN?

Is it related to a possible dispute between Barrack H. Obama, Sr. about the adoption of his “son” as Barry Soetoro?

It is know that SAD dropped her son from here passport when she came back to the U.S. after the divorce from Soetoro.

He’s not playing me for a fool. I don’t think he has a snowball’s chance in hell of getting the nomination but he can and will say things that nobody else will could get away with. The more he talks the more people have to answer to.

When a person does something for reasons other than the reasons they claim to be doing it, this is an example of trying to fool people.

He’s tricked anyone who thinks he’s conservative.

Are you saying nobody thinks Trump is conservative?

I don’t believe for 1 minute he is a conservative so no, I am not tricked. I have said that I like the fact that he will say things that others will not but will have to answer for. Where did I ever say I would vote for him or think he was a conservative. Right now there is no one that I would be excited to vote for in the Rep. field.
