Palin says that Christie is forced to cut budgets because NJ is broke. But she points out that when she became Governor of Alaska, she cut even though she had a surplus:

Real Courage means staying in office rather than running around on reality TV and book tours...

I like what Palin does for conservatives but to compare the courage it takes to cut government in Alaska versus New Jersey is laughable..

Save your Populist rhetoric for someone else.

I lived through the Hickel and Hammond years, when Alaska was truly lead by two great Governors. Palin caused far more turmoil in the State than she ever prevented. Her half term was a disaster.

She upset the Oil industry at Prudhoe Bay to the point where they were forced to nearly shut down. She nearly bankrupted Wasilla in her second term as Mayor. Wasilla’s debt started at 1 Million at the beginning of her second term and ended at 25 Million when she quit. Even the Wall Sreet Journal called the result of her second term; “A Financial Mess”.

Of course Palin also did some things that offset the effects of her tendency to spend, but as a whole, she did not exactly create a strong legacy like Wally Hickel or Jay Hammond did. She is not even close to being in their league.

Daniels looks fairly decent over all, but seems to be squishy on the right to work issue which caused the Indiana dems to seek asylum in Illinois. Doesn’t seem to care to support the pubbies in the legislature here. That is not a good sign.

She cannot win and she will not win.

So who do you think can win?

She put the bond issue to the voters. They approved it. It's been paid.

Try your disingenous comments on someone who gives a damn.

In the interview, Sarah very clearly communicated to BOR to stop interrupting - a classic Sarah moment, indeed!

Pre-Palin Alaska was clearly very, very good to the psycho as it was the corruptocrats. I wonder how many degrees of separation there was between this one and the criminals.

Since you lack the integrity to address me straight out, I will do that for you.

Calling me a “blood sucking taker” when you don't know me, merely points out your own lack of personal ethics.

Just for the record, I happen to be one of those “Blood Sucking Takers who helped pioneer the Prudhoe Bay Oilfield for Atlantic Richfield and Sohio. We braved 130 Below zero wind chills for decades, to produce that badly needed oil for America.

In my time on the job, I met some of the greatest Americans that this country can produce. They happen to be a breed all of their own. Together, we helped make Alaska a very special and unique place.

The money that the State gained as a result of our hard work, provided far more than just personal gain or wealth. The Permanent Fund Dividend that the Oil Industry provided to all residents of this great State, ($1,000 per person per year)not only paid everyone’s income taxes, it kept the State running for decades.

Palin’s ignorant, punitive and Populist attack on that established effort, nearly put a halt to everything good we worked so hard to create.

One can always gage the degree of accuracy of an opinion on these threads, by the degree of vile, vitriolic vomit regurgitated from the mouths of those who see deep personal insults as some form of domination or correct thinking.

Be sure to include ALL the facts when you attempt to discredit another opinion. That's just another MSM cheap trick you have learned so well.

Opposing the $700 billion bailout to failed banks and politicians who supported it makes me a statist? I love idiotic logic.

A true nanny stater is one who think that the governor actually controls the land and not the actual property owners. Maybe that’s why Palin had no problem passing a “windfall” profit tax on the oil companies, further increasing everybody’s gas prices in 2008.

In fact, the State of Alaska is mostly supported and managed by the Federal Government and takes a great deal of the burden and responsibility of managing the State off of the Governors shoulders. If anything, it would have made her position all the easier.

So having Uncle Sam own over half of a state makes it easier for that state's governor, eh?

Yeah right...

Opposing the Bank Bailout was the correct thing to do.

That said, only a small portion of it hasn't been paid back.

Now, we're getting somewhere...the Psycho here was/is in bed with the corrupt oil interests in Alaska. No wonder he has a personal grudge against Governor Palin. She yanked the trough away from him.

All is clear now with this one...

If I had seen another "fact" to disagree with, I would have. It was just another of your crappy opinions.

Since the Federal Government created over 90% of all the States infrastructure since the 1930’s, built the railroad, built most of the roads, Power Stations, Trans Alaska Highway, Airports, Airbases and Military Security Forces, and even Hospitals, there is not much left for a Governor to worry about is there.

The Corpse of Engineers, airforce and Army also stepped in and supported the recovery effort form the Earth Quake in ‘64.

Palin’s family also benefited greatly from the Federal Program to settle Alaska. They subsidized most all Agriculture there for the last 70 years, so that Alaskans could have fresh milk and produce grown in their own state.
(Matanuska/Susitna district) All of which would not exist without the Federal Government.

Do you know how childish you sound when you invoke DU and KOS into anything you disagree with? Just because someone doesn’t believe Sarah Palin is right for the job, does not mean they are not a good Republican. Good Republicans know how to debate an issue without going to the place where you always go. I suggest you take some time off and learn how to back up an argument. It will make you much more credible.
