Palin says that Christie is forced to cut budgets because NJ is broke. But she points out that when she became Governor of Alaska, she cut even though she had a surplus:

Doesn't Missouri have a Democrat governor? Isn't Claire McCaskill a Missouri US Senator? Yeah, you Missourians are a rock-ribbed conservative bunch! lol

Yeah they got in on Obama's coattails but look what we did in 2010. 2012 is coming up and McCaskill is running so fast to the right she can't stop to breathe and the Gov has his head down trying to hide. Don't worry about Missouri. Palin can carry the state.

McCain won Missouri by .1 per cent.

Her supporters also need to understand that posting the same pictures over and over and over and over only undermines their case. Enough w the damn photos! Let’s talk about how realistically she cam beat obama.

Regardless of how ill-considered the AK ethics rules or how they came to be enacted, it does not change the fact that the federal office would not constrained by the same easily abused ethics rules. If asked those questions, they could be easily dismissed in some similar fashion: she would not find herself checkmated by those who would eagerly abuse the ethic complaint rules to the detriment of the office and the detriment of the state/nation’s business — thus, there would be no need for self-sacrifice in deference to the best interests of the state/nation.

Asking those questions would only serve to illustrate how ill-informed/biased the questioner is. You would need to be far more clever in the phrasing of the questions to attempt your attack on the candidate.

It's a pretty superficial bunch. Notice how they fill up this thread with comments about Christie's weight, or his facial expressions. The other day when I mentioned Mitch Daniels, a Palin fan posted a picture making fun of his height. That's all they've got.

I don't know if you were around for Fred Thompson mania. But Palin mania started out the same way, and with mostly the same people, but it turned into Fred to the nth power. Irrational.

I won’t support the GOP, RNC, etc with one thin dime. I see no reason to allow them to skim their percentage off the top and dilute my financial support. However, I will support my preferred candidate(s) directly and allow them the full benefit of my support (for what little relative worth it may be).

re-read the question I posed...I do believe that it does not suggest that the same thing must happen for her to quit but rather it asks..."What would it take to get you to quit?" Not the same, is it?

I note that you, like every other palinite, have totally ignored her "lame duck" excuse. The problem with that is this; she said it, I didn't. It is not a hypothetical.

It is quite dangerous to become emotionally involved with a candidate for political office. It clouds ones judgment and tends to make them tolerate things the candidate does or says that are contrary to the divine image the individual has created for that candidate.

Palin is a perfect example of that blind loyalty, almost to the degree of worship. Would you really climb over “broken Glass”, set yourself of fire, whip yourself with razor wire, or do generally self destructive things to yourself because you idolize your candidate that much?

If so, you need to get help. Politicians are just human beings. They are NOT gods, saviors, angels or immaculate as many of their cult following make them out to be.

If there is any question as to the degree of this delusion, just pay close attention to the degree of evisceral attacks made on other FReepers who have concerns or solid reasons for not supporting that candidate.

The attacks are always deeply personal, angry, rude and quite senseless. And the attacker is especially unaware that they look quite childish and believe they are fully justified in breaking all the rules of civil exchange.

I just want to send obama packing in 2012 first and foremost. If it takes a person I am not thrilled out to do it, so be it.

Christie, for all his faults, is far better in enemy territoey than almost all the others. He is not afraid of anyone anywhere in the same way bachamann is. At least bachmann will take on the commies on their own turf.

Sarah needs to be able to handle those situations before being taken seriously.

Powder..patch..ball FIRE!

Your point? 2008 Obama polled almost 250k more votes in Missouri than Kerry did in 2004 and Mcpain wasn’t trying to win anyway.

Our governor is lame duck and he knows it. Ethics investigations are being talked about openly.

2010 Missouri Republicans cleaned house and a couple of tea party candidates won over long time democrats.

If we get to have elections in 2012, Missouri will wipe the slate with dems.

Good grief, sho is a lotta fightin’ goin’ on here.

I make it easy for myself. Both Palin and Christie are half term Governors, neither one is ready to be President.

Neither is Presidential. Both are more infatuated by their image than prepared to be POTUS.

Easy for me.

LOL

LOL! And never forget our “Old Friend” and mentor Dick Gephart or Carnahan! Now there is a bastion of “Conservative” value for you!

Name-calling? Seriously? Because I found your “gotcha” questions easily dismissed? Allow me to apologize to your ego.

I don’t consider myself a “Palinite”, but *if* she runs and *if* she survives the primaries, I will support her in the general. I would say the same of whichever GOP candidate makes it to the general. As for who I will support in the primary — I can’t say until there’s a list of declared candidates and a reasonable amount of time to consider them.

You may well be a “salt of the earth” American, I have no doubt, but the old line, “Know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em” rings true to me. The leftist garbage thought that they had Sarah checkmated, but she escaped. She lived to fight another day, in my judgment. Hanging on to her governorship at all costs would have been foolhardy. I respect your disagreement. Bob

Don’t forget “Palindrone”, which would be a great term for supporters IF Obama’s name was “Palin”. We Palin supporters, and I’m now offically among you, think for ourselves, thank you. It’s the “Palin’s a joke” crowd who have fallen for dimwit propaganda. Bob

I’m not kidding, posting the same pics over and over and over does far more harm than good.

Did you ever consider the possibility that if you were fighting endless lawsuis instead of governing, maybe you’d feel like a frustrated lame duck as well? I know you won’t concede this possibility, but for me, the exercise of continuing in the trappings of office would have become pointless. Bob

My god, these people have no clue what the media will do to Palin in coming interviews if she declares her candidacy.

And above all else, Palin knows this better than anyone. After all the past controversy and her tendency to put both of her feet into her mouth, she does not stand a chance.
