Who Can Beat Obama In 2012?
Flopping Aces ^ | 02-28-11 | Curt

So the run up for 2012 is fast approaching and I've been contemplating, who could beat Barack Obama? Right now, I'm not seeing anyone beating him. While I see many good candidates on the Republican side I just can't see any being able to seriously beat Obama. Huckabee put it well on GMA, you cannot underestimate the incumbency: (1 minute mark)

[VIDEO AT SITE] or HERE

"I think he is going to be tough to beat," Huckabee said.

“This race is going to be like climbing a ladder pointing toward you because Barack Obama is going to start this race with a billion dollars. He’s going to have no primary opponent,” he said. “The Republicans are going to have a crowded field all elbowing their way under the basket for the layup. And it’s not going to be a layup. It’s going to be a tough shot.”

Karl Rove:

“I consider him a favorite, albeit a slight favorite,” said former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove. “Republicans underestimate President Obama at their own peril.”

The economy sucks, unemployment is sky high, and he is still polling in the upper 40%...and this is without any campaigning. So it's going to be tough, and right now, at this very moment, I'm not seeing anyone who can beat him but two years is a long time away and much can happen.

A CNN poll released this week asked Americans whether they plan to vote for or against President Obama in 2012. The options were "probably vote for," "probably not vote for," "definitely vote for," and "definitely not vote for." The most popular answer was "definitely not vote for" – chosen by 35 percent of respondents. Only 25 percent say they'll "definitely vote for" the president. 51 percent predict he will lose.

A Gallup poll also released this week might help explain why. Gallup asked respondents whether they approve or disapprove of President Obama's performance in eight areas: health care, the economy, foreign affairs, dealing with Afghanistan, dealing with Egypt, taxes, energy policy, and the federal budget deficit. Of all of these areas, more than half of all Americans approve of President Obama's performance on ... none of them. In all eight areas, fewer than 50 percent approve of his performance.

The big undertaking will be that the Republican candidate will have to unite the establishment AND the Tea Party. That will get them the nomination.

Obama can be beaten easily, but the Republicans have to styop stabbing each other in the back.

WE need a good Conservative and the whole party to get behind him/her.

Wrong question, Watson (IBM.) Who can beat the DNC, MSM propaganda machine, the guilt ridden (over race) populace, the beneficiaries of our increasingly Peronist gummint?

“They are chosen by advice and consent of the Senate. Let the Republican majority Bork any Obama nominees.”

With McCain, Lindsay Grahmam, the Rino sisters from Maine, and Orrin Hatch in the mix I would not be to hopeful.

Hillary. Evan Bayh. That’s if Hussein even runs again. 11 states have pending legislation requiring he produces papers. I bet he backs out and claims it’s for the children.

Muammar Qaddafi, who regards himself a philosopher king, according to an excellent article in last weekend’s WSJ, will soon be available, and would make an excellent candidate.(Read the article to learn why.) The birth certificate question can be settled as well as the same question has been in practical terms settled regarding our current Dear Leader. While the article dismisses the man’s self image (without listing the reasons), he appears to be more of a philosopher king than your primitive community organizer now at the helm, believe me.

Let’s time travel to Nov 2012.....

$5 gas with some rationing / spot shortages
12% “official” unemployment
surging inflation
50% of mortgages “underwater”

Doesn’t look good for the Baraqqis in my view.

I would just like to see the 57 states pass one very simple law before the upcoming 2012 presidential campaign:

"When a person applies to put his name on a political party's primary ballot for President of the United states, he must attach a copy of his long form birth certificate if he was born in a hospital in the United States.

"If he was not born in a hospital in the United States, he must attach a document from the state of his birth---one with the state's seal---that verifies that he was born in that state on a certain date."

Tell me, is that too much to ask?

Yes, a very simple and standard law that could easily be applied in all 57 states, in my opinion.

NOTE: But wait. Someone will inevitably ask me this question: What happens if a potential candidate says that there is no long form birth certificate in his case, because he was not born in a hospital?

My response is this: Again, if the presidential candidate claims that he was NOT born in a hospital----maybe he was born in a taxicab or a private car or a private home or in the woods somewhere---then he can ask his state of birth to provide him with an OFFICIAL letter---with the state's seal---verifying that the candidate was born in that state on a certain state.

Now, is it too much to ask state officials to pass a simple law like the one above? I don't think so.

John Bolton
Herman Cain
LTC Allen West
Sarah Palin
Michelle Bachman

Any combination of the above will do just fine. RINO’s need not apply.

Who can beat the banks in 2012?

Whether Obama or the Republican-of-the-Week, none of them will be working for us.

A black woman at work today said that she would not vote for Obama again, but would not vote against him. She will just let other people pick the next President.

She said that we have proven that a black man can become President, but that he forgot the blacks who elected him as soon as he got elected.

She wanted someone to get us out of this mess and get rid of the “uncertainty”.

Interesting take. I said nothing.

Palin can win. She’s shown more fight than anyone. She’s encouraged a second tier of good conservatives to get in the fight.

She’s regrouping now- going to India I hear.

When she comes it will be with both barrels. She can bring the revolutionary restructuring that is needed. She will have a team that fills any voids you can see in her as a candidate.

She won’t back down in the fight for America.
